"Little-known gem of a utility park"

While we did not stay overnight, this Portland General Electric Utility-owned park is only about 45 minutes drive from our home in Central Oregon. It's on the shores of narrow Lake Simtustus, connected to the northern end of Lake Billy Chinook.... Read more

"Generous site size and great location in the Steens Mountains "

We were one of only two parties camping here on June 13, 2018. Sites are level, nicely laid out with lots of elbow room. The surrounding trees are trimmed back well so that any size rig would fit and they provided different amounts of exposure to... Read more

"Sweet and small campground in a picturesque aspen grove"

We were one of two campers here on June 12, 2018. There are only 6 spots, and vehicles that are long and must be level may have a challenge. Each site has a cast concrete picnic table and fire ring. Sites 1 and 2 are closest to the very clean... Read more

"Like camping in a deluxe parking lot"

Very nice, newish with great restrooms. Ding for noise during the day because a raceway must be nearby. Just stayed the one night on the way south.

"Great dry camping alternative to nearby booked state parks"

"Pretty much a "meh" compared to many other Moab area options"

We decided to scout out this campground as long as we were up in the Manti-La Sal mountains driving the La Sal Mountain Loop in the middle of October. While the autumn color was just after peak intensity, this side of the mountain range is drier... Read more
