“Best campsite we had”

Reviewed Apr 30, 2019

Compared with all the other campsites this was the best maintained we have seen. Perfect size of campgrounds for all length of RVs, clean fireplace, stoned table and benches. Surrounded by beautiful vegetation you have enough privacy. We enjoyed the clean shower and restrooms. Electricity and water is on the campsite. Normally they hav... more

“Beautiful area lots of hiking”

Reviewed Apr 07, 2019

Overall Rating

The campground is nice with water and electric 30/50 amp but no sewer. Camp hosts were awesome. We were here on March during the super bloom of wild flowers and it was gorgeous. Lots of places to hike.

“Awesome Experience”

One of the best overnight stop we've taken. We got in late and there were plenty of spaces. VERY private, and the park staff was top notch. We're coming back here to spend an extended stay.

“Great Camping Option for Phoenix Area ”

Reviewed Feb 01, 2019

Overall Rating

This park is super clean, the spaces are far enough apart to give you some privacy. I also like that the picnic tables and fire pits are in the back of the site so you have a little more privacy from neighbors. You can see from the pictures there is no natural shade so it does get hot. But, they do offer some covered spots for a higher... more

“Great Park with Awesome Hiking”

Reviewed Apr 13, 2018

Overall Rating

This is a super nice park with huge sites. I did not care for the pull throughs tho - they are more like pull overs next to the road. Also take care to avoid the group area on the weekends - VERY NOISEY! We hiked both the Wind Tunnel (very popular) and the Mountain Pass Hikes. They are both great & I would rate them as moderate to e... more

“Fantastic Well Maintained Spacious Sites”

Reviewed Apr 12, 2018

As more full time boondockers we prefer to be far from the city. We have had to stop in the Phoenix area a couple of times and this campground is a fantastic “get your city stuff done” stop. We have stayed in a few others and this will be our go-to from now on if we need to take care of business in the PHX area. It has extremely w... more

We were in #18 that was a pull thru. It was gravel and needed one riser on the road side to level rig. From the front gate to the rovering hosts , everyone was very nice and helpful. We were in the park at the time of the “Blue Moon and eclipse”, moonlight hikes were offered as well as other programs around this event. The campgrou... more

General Information: Check-In was a breeze, there is a manned station as you are driving into the park, we gave park attendant our name and they gave us a park map (showing trails, rules etc.) then verbally told us how to find our spot. Each spot has a picnic table, Charcoal BBQ pit and fire ring, water and electric hook-ups, there ar... more
