We stayed for three nights in a full hook up site. The park was easy to find and in a great location in between Big Bend Ranch State Park and the National Park. Due to a wind storm in NM, our plans changed and the host at Roadrunners were able to provide us an additional night to start our visit. The park looks pretty basic at first, but once there you realize the hosts put a lot of effort into keeping the place nice with additional touches here and there. We never met the hosts and being cool & windy during our visit most folks stayed inside. Be advised - There are no showers or restroom facilities but that was fine for us. Considering how massive BB NP is, this is a good location to explore the Eastern side without driving an hour inside the park. Definitely take the scenic drive through the SP. Gas just up the street and fully stocked small grocery “Cottonwood” a mile down the road toward the NP. We would stay again.

We had made reservations several months out. We stayed April 4-8, 2023. When we arrived just after the check-in time (1pm) we found a camper sitting on our site. We made contact with a representative (Chris) to ask what was going on. He stated he didn't know but would check. He called back a few minutes later to state he could not get in touch with the person on the site. He gave us an option for another site. We knew the campground was going to be full and if we took another site other people would get moved around so we decided to wait it out. After an hour Chris called stating he got in touch with the person. He stated it would take the person about an hour to get back. The person came back and was not in a hurry to move. Eventually we were able to get on the site at around 4:30. Chris did a great job trying to solve this issue. The reason I only gave 4 versus 5 stars is many campgrounds have a host or employee that checks sites around the designated checkout time to ensure the site is clear and clean for the next arrival. Apparently Road Runner does not have that service.

The park is in a great location. Only a few minutes to the NP entrance and a short drive to the state park. Terlingua Ghost Town is just a few minutes west. Also very close to the ONLY gas station in town.
Important to note that there is no restroom or bathhouse on site - we were fully self-contained.
Dog park was great. Kids had fun playing cornhole and tetherball at the community area. They had some bands perform a two nights while we were there. That was a lot of fun, great music and community vibe. Everyone was very nice.
The owners, Chris and Allison, were very helpful and easy to work with. They take great care of the guests and the campground, you won't be disappointed.
I used the dump station on the way out. Everything was in working order, no problems.

Clean - everything works perfectly and it’s very close to Big Bend National park. We only had a reservation for the Boondocking part but the second day we were able to get a full hookup site. Quiet and friendly with an area for children and a dog park. Sometimes a group comes and play country music - very pleasant !

We had a wonderful stay here while visiting Big Bend NP and Big Bend Ranch SP. Our site was spacious, the view was great, and the hosts were friendly. It is in a wonderful, clean, and well-manicured location close to the entrance of BB and close to restaurants and gas/groceries. Highly recommend!

Our first time to the Big Bend area. I chose Roadrunner from other good reviews. The park is wonderful. It has all things any RVer could hope for. It is clean beautifully decorated and the on-site managers or owners are just fabulous. We accepted a boondocking location because they were fully booked when I called and our RV has everything you need for off grid. We arrived we were helped in positioning our trailer and it was great. Then a weather change was coming. The hosts came to our trailer and advised us to move off the dirt as the rain would cause sinking mud. They were so helpful and nice. We moved up to a graveled area road and the rain and snow came and we were fine. The location is perfect for all you need to do and see. Definitely will be back.

We really enjoyed our time at RoadRunner. Our dog enjoyed the dog park, but really loved the 40 acres to roam! The community area was great. We loved playing bags and hope to be back next time for the live music. We were even welcomed to set up our little bounce house for the kids. Really nice, laid back atmosphere!

We stayed here for for 5 nights while exploring Big Bend. This was a great location with fast, easy access to the BBNP. Host was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sites were well spaced, clean and the common areas were really nice. Very quiet at night. We played lots of tether ball, jenga, corn hole and horseshoes. We were even treated to live music one night. The dog park was cute but we didn’t bring our dogs since they aren’t allowed in the NP.
We ate at Rustic Iron BBQ in Terlingua one night and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere for families with entertaining live music and delicious BBQ.
Big bend river tours was a great source for us to rent extra life jackets for paddle boarding the Santa Elena Canyon. They sell lots of outdoor gear and supplies at very reasonable prices. Definitely bring your own inflatable SUPs or kayaks and send a few hours paddling up the canyon from the Santa Elena trailhead. Such a fun activity and super inexpensive if you have your own gear.
Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and are already planning a trip back.

Campground looks nice but we were passing through and needed to dump our tanks. They would not allow us to. Their name shows up on line as a place allowing dumps but this is not the case. Seems like all the campgrounds in this area do not want non customers to use their dump sites even when you offer to pay them.

Just a warning to all. Made advance reservation but had an accident and was unable to travel. I tried to re-schedule the reservation (over $200 paid for 5 nights). I was aware of the cancellation policy but wanted to shift the reservation to a future date...not happening unless 30 days notice. I was 8 days out. They were nice on the phone but unwilling to negotiate. Just keep in mind when booking reservations. KOA only charged a $10.00 cancellation fee. In this case I lost over $200.00. My bad!!
