This was our second enjoyable stay at Mountain View Campground. We have stayed in campgrounds with larger sites, but none that we have enjoyed more than this one. Our site was large enough to accommodate a 40 foot rig, motorcycle, and truck. It is a short 10 minute drive from all the stores and restaurants in Hiawassee. There is no traffic noise to speak of because the campground is located on a dead end road that has very few passing vehicles. The cable TV service is good enough that we didn't use our satellite and the wifi is awesome. We have never stayed in a park that offers wifi this good. Verizon cell service is good enough to make and receive calls. The music barn and "porch of knowledge" is the centerpiece of the park and regularly sees guests and owners gathering to share their stories. If you stay here and don't visit the porch, you are missing out!

The cell phone signal is a little dicey as it is anywhere in the hills there but the WiFi was excellent.

We were looking for a last minute camping spot to pitch our tent as our original plans were thwarted by red tide! I found this campground through an article about camping in GA and NC and called them directly to see if there were any spots available. The guys were very helpful in securing us a pad that would be okay for tent camping as this campground is really designed for RV's.
Our spot was fine, though a bit rocky for our tent (It's not designed for tent camping and they did their best!) The restrooms were very clean, the grounds were well maintained and the views are so peaceful.
They do karaoke on Friday nights (Though we didn't get to join the fun!) and Sunday breakfast served in their community area.
Overall, this campground was great with close proximity to several water holes and an Ingle's grocery store just down the road. It was a great time for my family!

We don't get good cell phone service here, but they have a super strong wifi and we can use our WiFi calling feature on our phones.

The grounds were great but the people were amazing. Mike and Damien Own and run the place. From the check-in escort to the site through to the exiting goodbyes, they were fantastic. They even served a hot breakfast to the guests on Sunday morning, which is a real treat on checkout day.
We will certainly be going back.
Can't say enough about this place!

The greatness of Mountain View Campground can’t fit in this post! Mike and Damien are stellar hosts and go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a great time! They have cultivated a place that’s more like a small mountain neighborhood than a campground. Killer WIFI, Potluck dinners on Wednesdays, karaoke on Fridays, impromptu movies and nightly pavilion “rock and talks” in rocking chairs overlooking the mountains, you’ll meet so many great people here and will be sad to leave no matter how long you stay. ⛰ ⛺️ ❤️

From the moment we first called to make reservations, I knew the owners were going to be really nice. I had no idea. They have made this our very favorite campground by making it a warm, friendly environment that feels more like a community than simply a camping vacation. Everyone we've met here not only plan to return but are booking for extended stays.
The central pavilion is like a magnet where the campers meet, socialize, trade stories, and become friends. All of this stems from the way the owners treat their guests. The local area offers natural beauty and plenty of fun things to do and we love being in the north Ga mountains. However none of that has influenced my review. The Mountain View Campground is the most special place we've ever camped and we can't thank Mike and Damien enough for all they do.
