“I must concur: "Meh"”

This was a quiet spot off the winding scenic drive through Manti La Sal, NF. Had to backup on the one-way entry for an Earthroamer to exit, otherwise, bumpy, slow entry. Wouldn't pull a trailer back there even if it's short. You'll hate yourself if you have to do a hockadoo to get out. It's an ok spot for the night and with a quick walk up the road you have a stunning view/roadside pull-off. You're amongst the aspens and there's plenty of wood available for an impromptu campfire. It's just not pretty in there. One bar AT&T at camp, 3 bars at the aforementioned pull-off.

“Pretty much a "meh" compared to many other Moab area options”

We decided to scout out this campground as long as we were up in the Manti-La Sal mountains driving the La Sal Mountain Loop in the middle of October. While the autumn color was just after peak intensity, this side of the mountain range is drier and not as scenic as the stretch closer to the south side of Moab.

This campground seemed overgrown, overgrazed by cows and under-maintained. Also, the lone resident had so many vehicles, toys and trailers pulled into a single spot that he pretty much dominated this fairly small facility. Sometimes the vibe just seems off.

A nicer option is one of the dozens of BLM sites closer to town, or perhaps Oowah or Warner Lake on the other side of the mountain.
