“So beautiful!”

Reviewed Sep 20, 2018

Overall Rating

Would highly recommend, and would definitely come back! We arrived in our van at about 7pm and it was pretty full but we squeezed in after a fellow camper said we could. It wasn’t that loud considering. Most people in prime spots left at about 10am so arrive earlier for the sweet sunset view.

The road off the main highway is rough and uneasy being we were in a Class C. Slow and easy and we made it to the top. There are no amenities of any source being Forestry Land but it is free and has a million day view. The area is busy on weekends but well worth the view. There are some bugs/flys but they are gone by evening. The view ... more

Very heavily used area. Crowded site with no toilets or services. Flies and mosquitoes are thick. No quiet time. Other campers run generators and are rude and noisy. Road is very rough and hard on larger RVs and small cars.

Camped here for 3 (or maybe 4?) nights in July. Loved loved loved it!
Not difficult at all to get to for our 4x4 truck. Met some really awesome people, and the location (how near it is to the park, and the view itself) can't be beat. A bit smoky due to recent fires. Just show up and pick out a space.

Real nice area to boondock. we stayed on the lower area about 1/2 mile off the hiway. road in was very washed out so just take it slow. it was very crowded with some people showing up very late in the evening. we were in our 5th wheel. Mosquitos were bad, you need to use bug screen. view is great. Cell for data on VZ was good in the mo... more

“Beautiful views, rough road”

Where else in the world can you get views like this for free?! We had been looking forward to this spot! We weren’t able to get a spot in the main area, so stayed in one of the further back areas where we still had a nice view of the mountains, and of the rigs with even better views than us. The road up was one lane and more rough th... more

“Beautiful scenery right by National Park, but busy!”

Reviewed Jun 21, 2018

We stayed 9 nights the first part of June 2018. We first tried the Lower Teton View but had significant trouble leveling so we went up the hill to this area. As the other reviews said, it was crowded. Just about every spot was filled every day we were there. Thankfully, when we arrived there were two spots that would work for us. ... more

Loved the short stay we had here. The previous reviews were spot on. While I was there another camper had spotted a momma black bear with her cub along the road up to the campsite, so it's a good reminder (along with all the signs) that this site is in bear country so safeguards should be observed. This site had a lot of traffic whi... more
