We arrived in early afternoon in our 35’ fifth wheel, had no problem getting in and was lucky enough to get a spot with good views. While we were there I counted 20 people that were staying in this area, lots of vans but a handful of big rigs too. Definitely recommend driving through to see if you get a good spot.

Way more campers here than the number of sites. It is a nice spot for the views. I had someone pull in behind me at 1:00 AM and parked about 5’ behind my van. Some folks left early but it was still full when I left at 10:30.

We weren’t able to stay here, or really any dispersed areas nearby because all the roads were still closed- I just wanted to throw this up in case others were thinking of dispersing this time of year. We didn’t realize the roads would be closed, the only area you could get to was the very lower part of this road where the first vault toilet is- and it was busy and muddy… forest service said the roads should be opening up soon, but maybe call ahead to double check if you’re headed this way… forest service had some recommendations for the area, but we ended up at Gros Ventre CG instead.

Like others who left reviews, we ignored the sign that said 30’ maximum RV length, and drive up there with our 42’ fifth wheel. Getting up there was fine, though we should’ve stopped at the Lower campsite, unhitched, and scouted the upper one first before bringing the rig up. There was a good 1/4 mile that was covered in snow/ice (which after hitting we probably should’ve backed out), as it was steep enough that it was a little too precarious to get back down with the full weight of the 5th wheel skidding and pushing the truck down the hill. We had to get chains for the truck and trailer in Jackson, WY, but after doing so, we managed to make it back to maintained roads before the week long snow storm hit which would’ve trapped us there likely all winter.
Other than that, the Upper Teton View Campsite is great. If you need the room, the second entrance to the area has a little more clearance than the first entrance that you’ll see, which has a big boulder off to the right and a tree on the left. The site was level enough, with lots of room to maneuver a big rig up there if it’s not crowded, and had unbeatable views. Lower Teton View is nice, but the view is nowhere near as good and it’s difficult to get level.

It was super crowded and there were no front spots Monday but everyone left Tuesday by 11am so we moved up to one of the front spots. It filled up quickly by 2 other trailers.
The views are obviously incredible. Minimal cell service but Starlink worked great. Lots of sun for solar!
Filled up water, propane, and dumped at the Shell in Jackson on our way in.
This spot is crowded but there are spots further back in this area if you want privacy just not the best views.

We stayed here for the maximum of 5 nights. We arrived on a Saturday morning and there were spots available, but it had been raining all day which impacted attendance. On Sunday evening after the weather cleared, it was jam packed. The sites farther down the road were less crowded and would be worth considering if you can find one with a view.
Campers were generally friendly though some weren't considerate and would park blocking others views. Very little trash in site and only some leveling required.
The access road in was in decent shape, just go slow. There isn't enough room for two rigs to pass side by side. I'll echo the note about the 30 foot restriction sign - I don't think that would actually be a problem. The rain didn't impact the road quality significantly
There is some road noise from the highway but it's modest. There is also noise from aircraft on approach to Jackson, but that applies to most areas of the park.
Water fill was available in Colter Bay.
AT&T signal was decent at around 10mbps download and 6mbps up with a roof mounted Pepwave MIMO antenna. There was considerable variability though. T-Mobile was faster at 20/5.

We saw the dumbest campers of our whole trip here. Generators run all day on their luxury trailers and disturb the peace. People leave their cars running for hours before they finally get in. What for? No respect for nature. Someone drove into the bushes with his truck and ruined the environment. Why don't you stay at home if you don't know how to behave? Can't you live without your stupid generators or without damaging the environment? You are a shame for all real campers.
