Overall Rating
We did see lots of dispersed camping in the area. Mostly good if you are ATV-ing. Most of the forest looks in really rough shape and they are selling logging rights. Lake was pretty. Tons of bugs but that’s to be expected near water. My recommendation would be finding a boondocking spot.

Overall Rating
Great location but somewhat neglected national forest campground. We didn't stay overnight but would return next time we are in the area. Perfect lake for fishing, paddle board or kayak. Walking trail goes around the lake. 3 or 4 vault toilets at logical intervals. Only three sites occupied on a lovely Wednesday in August. Sites are widely spaced, either by the lake or on a rise. With checking out! About an 8 mike drive on gravel road after passing through Albany.
