"Sad privatized NFS campground"

Very expensive $26 a night for dry camping. Lots of road noise, restrooms and showers locked for no reason. Dump site is on the premises but it's another $10 on top of the nightly fee. Three large, unsightly host sites (in the Elk loop alone) with... Read more

"Doesn't get much better than this!"

Three distinct loops, two high, one low. Rushing stream at the rear of our site puts it over the top. Seriously wish we could stay more than one night but we'll be back for sure. Don't miss the nearby Manzanar Japanese internment camp and the... Read more

"Tired NF campground in a lovely location "

We arrived in early October without reservations but we're able to identify a spot with good solar and a reasonable approach for our 23 foot trailer. Most sites and loops were off limits due to machine grinding every bit of ground cover, most... Read more

"Awkward shallow sites on a scenic lake "

I'd give this campground 5 star if it weren't for the challenging layout. Thankfully there was no one here on this clear but Chilly first day of October. Stubby sites are meant for pickup campers, trailers less than 20 feet. We made it work for... Read more

"Quirky site layout but quiet and clean"

If you've got a big rig, this oddly proportioned campground is not for you. Tent campers in commuter cars will do well, or those with trailers under 23 feet. We joked that whoever laid this out had never set foot in a campground. Most sites come... Read more

"Worst campground experience"

If you enjoy cheek-and-jowl "camping" with a thousand others, then please patronize Barton Park. We needed a place in the Portland area to attend a funeral service over Labor Day weekend and felt relieved to have found a spot at this county... Read more

"Clean and well-setup dump station"

Double-sided dump setup with the right pitch. No fresh water available but there are two black tank clean out hoses. Quiet city park conveniently located near I84 along the Oregon/Idaho border. free!
