The CG is very clean and well maintained, except for the encroaching and low hanging branches that could use some trimming near the check-in shack on the drive in. The East CG has very recently been repaved. The CG varied from nearly empty mid-week to completely full over the holiday weekend. There are a few short trails around the CG if you search for them. Although, fairly convenient to the Portland area, It is a little pricey for 50A/Water only hookups.
AT&T coverage was good, ranging from 1-3 bars of 5G, with speeds up to 31 MB/s. Site 60 had access all 3 western DISH satellites. Starlink had speeds between 2 and 14 MB/s. We didn’t try any OTA channels with our fixed omni antenna.

I think next time I would prefer staying on the the East Side maybe in number 59 or 58. The lower number on the East Side is basically just a giant field so you would be back-to-back next year neighbors.
With that being said you are close to your people so spot 60 wasn't bad I felt like I had privacy along with site 61.
If you're someone who's doing rafting between 2 parks this is a great spot to camp at.
We booked our reservation weeks in advance we're here on a Saturday till Thursday. The river definitely gets packed on weekends.
As of July 1st 2022 they have raised their reservation fees to $11 so it's getting a little expensive.
They have 20, 30 and 50 amp plugs with water partial hook up. There is a dump on site.

Sites 61 and 62 are relatively private. Site 62 was level, others looked level. Dump station was open. Bathrooms were OK with hot showers. I disagree with the prior review of "run-down", it was on par with Oregon state parks.
Easy access to Clackamas River for floating. Minor children noise but nothing bothering.
AT&T cell service was excellent, 4 bars of 5G. Streamed easily with no booster. Got a few local stations to come in.

When we finally got to our site it was fine. The hosts were friendly enough and the park was quiet. Just make sure you're in early because the gates lock at 8PM!
The only reason we'd consider staying here again is because of proximity to family members. The goslings were cute though! So many goslings!

We needed a place in the Portland area to attend a funeral service over Labor Day weekend and felt relieved to have found a spot at this county park during what is probably the busiest time of year. However we were astonished when the camp host directed us into the hobbit-hole amongst the firs. Our only choice was to get up and over the steep curb, navigate down the berm and wedge cross-wise to straddle two thick tree roots. We had to dig out the trail saw to remove the undergrowth enough to pull the steps out and open the trailer door.
Our nearest neighbor kept his diesel truck running ALL night, idling loudly, initially running his music and truck lights --- even though all sites had electrical hook ups.
We saw gigantic families clustered around their big screen TVs which they couldn't bear to be without.
Stagnant, unmoving smoke-laden air and filthy restrooms just added to the atmosphere.
Best of all, you are locked in, together, from 10 pm to 6 am.
After the second night if this nonsense we left and squeezed into our daughters driveway in Southeast Portland. Never again!

Pun intended! Barton Park is nice, fun for families to gather and kids to play, with 3 nice playgrounds on the property. This was our default closest choice to explore the Portland area, as Clackamette RV Park was closed due to high river waters. Winding roads in/out of here pretty much any way you choose to leave/enter the area, not an issue just feels much slower getting around. Large and small rigs throughout the campgrounds when we arrived.
Mother's Day we had plans to take the family out to the Zoo for the afternoon, we were also scheduled to move sites that day. With the campground nearly empty, and no one coming in behind us in site 90 that day nor the week for that matter, we asked to leave our rig there till we get back later in the evening, because we were going to drive out to the Zoo (45 mins) and didn't want to have to rush back for check-out time just to move across the lane to site 81 for rest of the week, which backs up to the playground for the kids. Couldn't move any sooner because with check-out at 1pm, the current guest in site 81 was understandably taking full advantage of the late check-out time. Sure they extended our time by an hour, but not enough that we still didn't have to rush 45 mins back and cut our Zoo day short and skip Mother's Day brunch or dinner, and the excuse was well someone might come last minute and request that site, well no one came to any sites, in fact more sites went vacant. This place is very much a weekend hot spot, very few weekly guests.
Proceed to later on in the week and we get scolded for "defacing" the property, by our kids coloring chalk mountains on the pavement within our site. Come on, these doofuses were dead serious too, showing up ON A RAINY DAY!!! Ridiculous if you ask me. I laughed and turned my back, then turned back, tipped my hat and replied, "well don't you worry if this rain your standing in doesn't wash it away, I'll be sure to get the hose out." eye roll
Other than those dumb situations, the place is clean, showers decent (timed push button, not hot but warm enough), and nice playgrounds. All in all, a nice spot, but wouldn't choose to come back here just based on the silliness we experienced.

Very nice county park on the Clackamas River. Our site was mostly level, had a clean table and big firepit. Which we used in the evening. It's close to Portland and the surrounding metro area but feels like you're a long way from town. There are large grassy areas that contain a sand volleyball court and a playground structure. Lots of horseshoe pits and places to play soccer or other games. Gravel walking paths surround the park and lots of picnic tables. This is a very popular park in the summer for boaters and folks floating the river, but in May it was green and quiet. While the park was full it did not seem busy or crowded.
The only thing that may bother some is the noise from commercial jet traffic moving to and from Portland International Airport (PDX) on and off during the day.

First time ever that we had stuff taken from our site. Lots of police traffic, so I’m sure we aren’t the first. Big sites/Paved/no burn in place. All the grass around you is dead. Clean showers and bathrooms.

This is a nicely landscaped park with a couple of different sections. I camped in the Barton East section which looks to be newer. There are back in and large, flat pull thrus. The roads are easy to navigate although the front ranger gate is extremely tight. Watch your mirrors.
The back in section has less privacy and is completely exposed. The pull thru section has more trees.
Internet was great here on Verizon, ATT and T-Mobile. Att and Verizon were both pulling down over 40mbps. I didn't test T mobile but I was streaming fine with it. No booster needed.
I was not able to get a single OTA channel but if you have satellite you'll have an easy clear view.
Staff was friendly but not intrusive.
This is also a good park for dogs. There's a nice trail around the park and plenty of walking if you head down to the other campground and day use area.
Portland is a 35-45 min drive depending on traffic.
Plenty of shopping near by for necessities.
Jess would stay here again
