We decided last minute to stay here on our way to Glacier. We hit Mt. Rushmore in the morning and then headed to Devils Tower. This place is amazing! The trail around the tower is a must. We were traveling the last week in August and arrived around 5pm. We hustled around the two CG loops looking for sites. The only sites left were hand... more

Devil's Tower is literally right out your window. $20, $10 with a National Parks pass. Nice bathrooms, no showers. No cell service or sewer, there is potable water. Lovely park-like setting with both open and shaded spots. And did I mention Devil's Tower is right there?

At noon on a summer Monday it was 60% full and then 100% by 5pm. Beyond the view its a typical campground though with less privacy than most. Feels more like a no-amenity RV park, just good for a very brief stay.

As others have stated, this place is awesome. Note: you WILL have to pay an additional $10 to get into the national monument before you pay for your campsite, so if you are a bit stingy (like me) you're looking realistically at a $22 night. That being said, the bathrooms were the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campsite, there... more
