By max length, does that mean rear bumper of trailer to front bumper of truck, or is it just referring to RV length?
dave robison asked on 1/25/2022
Do you need advance reservations to get a site in February? Thanks!
skelpsk asked on 12/29/2021
Does anyone know the maximum RV length for the sites at Twin Peaks Campground? Thanks!

This might be the best designed National Park campground I’ve seen. All sites are pull through, and while they are close together, they are positioned to provide privacy. The bathroom and showers were nice and clean. The desert view hike at sunset was beautiful. The whole area is filled with so many cacti and birds. While it was too hot for us to stay more than one night, we did get to see the super bloom of the saguaros. I think there was only one other brave camper, and we had the whole campground of 175+ sites to ourselves. Wish there were shade structures built over the picnic tables. We would definitely come again, in April or March.

I love this Campground. Clean and well cared for. Great hiking trails and a ranger program. Beautiful scenery and a wide variety of cactus. Only 1 1/2 hours to the beach (through Mexico). Numerous places in Ojo to buy Mexico travelers insurance. This is my first camping trip with Starlink and it worked great.

Finally a park you can get a reservation without booking months in advance! Good off reading and hikes nearby. Nice facilities, dump and fill station on sight. Just would of liked non-potable water to have regular house to do a black tank flush.

The national park itself was impressive. Right on the border with the fence and warning signs but the Saguaro, Organ Pipe, and Cholla cactus are unbelievable. Be sure to travel the loops. The campground was clean, organized and large. Overall was a great experience.

Reasonably spaced level paved pads for some privacy (all drive thru, I think) and the place was about 1/3rd full. Check in is 2 miles before campground at the visitor center. They assumed I would reserve on line but gladly assigned me a space. Generator hours enforced where allowed.
Cloudy, drizzly days from the atmospheric river in Cali for which the solar heated (free) showers were not even tepid. But dang, I needed one.
Don't know how TMobile was 3 bars. "Tercel" 3G, 2bars, from Mexico. Note to TMobile: I don't need 5G, just 4G everywhere.

What a beautiful park and campground. Level pads with a grand vista everywhere you look. Friendly staff and a nice visitors center. Two dump stations with fresh water and many water spickets around the campground. Clean flush bathrooms, some with showers. But let's talk about the showers. They are solar heated. During January that means lukewarm at best with no temp control. I get it. It's environmentally friendly. But come on NPS. If you are going to provide showers make them usable. OPCNM is a great place to camp and enjoy the wonderful scenery. We plan to return at a future date for the spring bloom.

Clean, well kept campground with spacious sites and fresh water available at the dump station. Modern bathrooms but only 2 or 3 of the 6 have a single shower. Plenty of hiking and cacti and if you want to cross, the border is only 6 miles away. You can see the fence from here. Nearest shopping us in Ajo about 40 miles.
