"Overnight sites, lousy camping."

Can't imagine camping here with the cattle & barren landscape. Barely okay for 1-2 nights. I was surprised how clean it was of garbage. Fire rings everywhere so it must get busy at times.

"Too convenient for long termers."

Tried to park here with 34' 5er. Long term campers (road crew works I suspect) had all the larger & level spots. Would work for smaller RVs as an overnight.

"Just watch for ants."

Saved here twice in October. Very simple place to find, access, etc. Only additional input is about the ants. Ant colonies litter the place...do a good walk-through before parking.

Washed out...access very limited to 4x4s, an RV is likely to get stuck (I had to back out several hundred yards).

"Ugly sites and noisy."

Ugly sites, highway & air traffic noise, the lake smells and the water looks putrid (no swimming posted). The vistas were nice. The place was packed by 7pm on a Wednesday. Tolerable for one night though we wouldn't consider it again.

Drove thru at noon in mid week and the place was packed. Only one site open, but it had been used for a dump for furniture and auto parts. The place is super easy to get to, but it's nothing special...
