“Lots of opportunities for exploration”

Reviewed Jan 18, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here only one night as a stop-over coming from Sedona, AZ before we attempted for a site in the morning at the Valley of Fire SP. Arrived close to sunset and found a spot that our low-ground-clearance Airstream could manage, which wasn't too far off one of the main through-fares. Entry road wasn't too bad with some small rock... more

“Large open area can fit 100+ RVs, easy lake access, need National Parks Pass”

Reviewed Dec 20, 2017

Overall Rating

First off, this is not a free camping area, you either need to buy a daily permit pass, or if you have the National Parks Access Pass you are all good. I think the stay limit was 15 days here. Being here in December this place was not to busy, during the summer months I heard it's a lot busier. It is a huge area with lots of areas t... more

“Great Spot on the Lake”

Reviewed Nov 15, 2017

Overall Rating

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very easy access and close to the water for paddling. The dirt is hard packed and wasn't very dusty at all. Great views. Close to Valley of Fire. The only downside is there is some broken glass and trash. You can dump trash and recycle at the nearby springs north of the site. Echo Bay upper campground h... more

Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YP_iMytzBU Just a few minutes from Valley of Fire, this site just a short distance from the very plastic Las Vegas Strip might as well be a million miles away. There's a ton of space for rigs of any size, and while we had neighbors during our midweek October visit none was even remotely clos... more

“Great quiet location. We will definitely come back if the weather is not too hot. ”

This was our first time to visit Stewarts Point so we didn't know what to expect. We already knew that the road was gravel and slightly bumpy. As you get closer to the sites the road becomes very narrow. We wondered how 2 big rigs could pass each other if they were going the opposite direction. Thankfully we didn't run into that ch... more

“Great views and wide open spaces”

Reviewed Apr 11, 2017

Overall Rating

Lots of wide open sites along Lake Mead. If you have a national park pass, then there is no charge. Otherwise, you'll have to pay an entrance fee. Part of the road is paved then it turns into gravel grated. If you stay on the main grated roads, there should not be an issue for any size rig. There are some softer sandy spots off the... more

“Reservoir camping.”

Reviewed Mar 30, 2017

Overall Rating

Basically this is reservoir camping with nice views. The landscape is the remains of Lake Mead's better days which left it rough and mostly barren. Not many private sites, but there is decent camp spacing in some areas (probably less so nearer the water). Was very quiet every night . Easy access for all sizes.

WOW! This area is amazing. Pretty easy access (bumpy gravel/hard pack) - but you've got to hold out until you find the spot that you absolutely want. There is certainly enough room for it. “Great Location”

Reviewed Jan 11, 2017

Overall Rating

Came here to get out of Vegas for the New Year and avoid the fireworks for the pup. This place is close to the water, FREE and quiet. Site was mostly level, lots of soft dirt/clay and also rock areas. No one should have an issue getting to the location or setting up a level site. Highly recommend the location.

“Like having a free lake house”

Reviewed Apr 20, 2016

Overall Rating

Some pretty amazing spots spread out all over this place along the lake. Lots and lots of options. Great LTE in most. The lake is sadly so low though that where I camped was not even on the map. Still really close to Valley of Fire and Overton for groceries etc. Or 40 minutes to Henderson for Walmart, REI, and of course In-N-Out burger.
