“Beautiful, but hot”

Reviewed Jul 10, 2019

We spent 1 night here with our group of 2 x 25ft RV's. There are plenty of easy sites no matter the vehicle. The best sites close to the water were very rutted so we didn't want to risk it. There is a pit toilet near the camp sites.

Stayed here on a Saturday night while we waited for Valley of Fire campground to clear out. Pulled a 32’ TT down one level from the top. Our takeaway: not for us and we do a lot of boondocking. 1. Road in is rough 2. Water is icky (we walked down to see about putting our kayaks in) 3. Did I mention road is a bit rough...even the pav... more

We arrived on a Friday and essentially followed a paved road past some creepy houses, which turns to gravel all the way to the campsites. I would say get out and scout because you could weasel your way all the way to some prime spots. It was supposed to rain the week we arrived so I played it safe and stayed on the gravel area a quar... more

“Boondocking at its best - Stunning north Lake Mead ”

Reviewed Mar 09, 2019

I camped in this stellar site in early March 2019. Stewarts Point is a large, area for up to 15-day camping. There is a vault toilet near the entrance and water/dumpsters/dump station at nearby Echo Bay. Signs recommend 4x4, but there are plenty of sites you can get to in a big Class A or a 2wd camper van like mine. However, the ro... more

We came here from Boxcar cove. This is a nice place to boondock. As the other reviews read the water spots are tough to get. We pulled a 12 pop up so we were able to get down to the water. The site was not level at all but we made it work and there was a place to beach kayaks. This is a much busier place than Boxcar but still very pret... more

Fee Area, but a National Parks Pass gets you in free. Tons of open space to camp in the area. 15 day limit. Free dump station, water, and trash service can be found at Echo Bay 10 miles to the South. Overton, NV is about 20 miles North and has most of the other supplies and services a traveler would need. 2-4 Bars VZ 4G LTE unboosted. ... more

We have a 40 ft Tiffin and the only issue was the road coming down. Just go slow and you'll be fine. It's paved for a while and then gravel... not sure which is worse? The paved is just as bad as the gravel. I guess 120 degrees in the summer baking down is not good for pavement. Bumpy and dusty. But when you get here (past the pit toil... more
