“Full to capacity at mid week.”

Reviewed Sep 29, 2018

Drove thru at noon in mid week and the place was packed. Only one site open, but it had been used for a dump for furniture and auto parts. The place is super easy to get to, but it's nothing special...

“Spectacular boon docking near Flagstaff”

Dispersed camping in the national forest near Walnut Canyon Natl Monument. Our spot enjoyed spectacular views of the San Francisco Peaks as well as good cell service. Close to visitor center and east side of Flag.

Lots of options, some not level or on rutted side roads but selection good, just keep driving until you find something suitable. If you go too far you see homes. Great night sky and nice to have a campfire for a change.

We crept our 40' rear-end into the spot at 35.1810850, -111.4950648. This wasn't our 'first choice', but beggars with big rigs can't be choosers when it comes to wildcamping in the Walnut Canyon area after a decently heavy snowfall. With the most feasible choice of spots (35.1787598, -111.4992913) being taken by several rigs upon our a... more

“Quiet spot near Flagstaff”

Reviewed Nov 12, 2017

This is a pretty cool spot - so close to the National Monument (GO! It's so cool to see so many cliff dwellings so close together!). There are a lot of spots back in here. Some are easy to get to and some not so much. Many of the access roads are very rutted and rocky. I stayed off 9160S (on the left) at 35.180381, -111.498224 an... more

There are many sites to pick from. I see a 35' motorhome and 35' tag along camper here so not all reviews are correct. I have a low clearance van and did fine. Some access roads to some sites would require a high clearance truck. You can hear a train and wildlife and a little of Route 40. Other than that it is quiet and wonderfully dar... more

“Great Area and its near Flagstaff”

Reviewed Jun 12, 2017

We were expecting this to be average at best. We drove up from Sedona and checked it out before moving up here. What we found was an area that had several great parking areas and was very easy to get into. The internet was great on ATT and being close to Walnut Canyon National Monument gave us something to do while we were here. If... more

“Excellent spot for dispersed camping, close to Flagstaff! ”

Reviewed May 30, 2017

The stars are amazing and listening to the coyotes howling and the train in the distance is perfect camping in our opinion. You can sometimes hear highway noise, but is very faint. Very easy access and many sites to choose from. Some have major ruts into the site, but that didn't stop people from using those spots. Verizon service was... more

“Excellent boondocking spot close to Flagstaff”

Had no problem finding a spot to fit my 38' Super C, there were several to chose from. Only a few miles from Flagstaff made for easy trips into town to visit breweries and explore the town. Some sites can accommodate a few rigs camping together. I was on my own, but due to taking a fairly big site, I did have a couple of others rigs... more
