We really loved staying here. No water or electricity and we didn't use the restroom as we had our motorhome. Fun trails and close to great basin national park. Really clean and nice spots.

Absolutely no verizon service for us at the campsite but we could get some at the national park roaming.

It is unbelievable that this is a free site. It's cleaner and better maintained than many paid campgrounds. It's right on the side of route 50 so finding it isn't an issue. When I arrived Saturday night (11/04/17) two large RVs were in the main campground on opposite sides but I went up to the horse campground on the very well main... more

“Clean, Free, Easy”

Super easy access right off I-50. Couldn't believe it was free. Excellent site quality, clean and very well kept grounds. Great overnight stop Logistics: there are 5 or so sites on the bottom campground and an equestrian campground at the top. There are only 4 sites up top but they have much better views than the lower ones. No one ... more

I left the Lehman Caves looking for a spot, Cleve Creek - Google Maps had wrong location, discovered this after going down the dirt road following google (Reported and since corrected). Anyway great spot, Solar/Dish, minimal Internet, Vrzn.. Nice view of the pond, and upper road, apx 1/2 mile? about 4-5 sites. Whole area appears to ... more

“Incredible, one of the best”

Great BLM with paved patios, fire rings, BBQ gril. Very large sites. Better than most of the "official" campgrounds. You will barely hear vehicles on the US-50 since most of the traffic stops at night. No wonder, this road is called the loneliest road in America. If you don't want to hear it at all, just go in the upper section of... more

Gorgeous, clean campground with covered concrete patios, great views and excellent hiking. Lots of sun for solar. Barely any cell reception. I came on a Saturday and the lower area was full except one spot. Most of the campers were very quiet.. but one more eccentric gentleman in an older trailer was blasting terrible 80's music so lou... more

“Beautiful, clean, quiet, and free near Great Basin NP”

This is one of the best places we've stayed. No services, including cell, but there are clean pit toilets, paved patios with covered picnic tables, grills, and fire pits at each site. We camped up top in the equestrian area and could see Wheeler Peak (Great Basin NP) from our site. This is dark sky country and the Milky Way put on a sh... more

There are more spaces back in the equestrian area but lots of dust going back there. A little hard to level but just takes a little time. Nice Place. 44 miles from the new Loves station (under construction) in Ely Nv.

Was able to use Verizon Jet Pack but only forced to 3G.

Stars all over the place at night.
