Pulled in for night on a windy day. Nice gravel level sites that fit our 41 ft 5th wheel. 30 amp electric with water available close by. Dump station. Large grassy area and clean restrooms. Most sites empty.

Clean, level, and spacious sites. We were the only campers Memorial Day weekend (Saturday). Very quiet and out of the wind.
Although the bathhouse is old, it was clean with plenty of hot water.

After 15 hrs on the road looking for convenient spot to rest and recharge. Showers are old school, but plenty of hot water. Wifi was sketchy for us.

Quiet campground a minute from city center. No golf course but well maintained grass for this time of year in north central Montana. Not very busy and pretty large. Free power, water and showers with your space fee. That alone is worth 5 stars if your passing through for just a day or two!

There were such mixed reviews, but we found most aspects of this park very nice for a midweek one-night stay while in Shelby, traveling the Hi Line. It certainly was more grassy and appealing than the $45 private option right up the road which looked chock full. We were the only patrons at Shel-oole besides some down on their luck guys in a beat up rig who did worry us, but they minded their own business and were far away. Another displaced-seeming person stopped in the morning only long enough for her shower; again no problem to us. But listen to the prior reviewer who warns to avoid the sites in the middle on the left as you drive in. We forgot her advice when we selected our spot. The neighboring house does indeed have two yapping dogs who tormented our dog from their side of the fence until let inside. The showers/toilets looked creepy but were actually pretty clean for a county park. Nice fiberglass stalls, clean plastic curtains, and a plastic chair in the dry changing portion of the stall! Despite our antenna showing strong signal strength, we got no OATV, maybe due to being behind the large dam. Ditto with Verizon signal.

After being spoiled with $0 to stay in Zurich, it was a bit grating to pay $25 to car camp in Shelby, but all was forgiven because this campground offered clean hot showers. If you have dogs, I suggest you NOT use the middle left spots as there is a residence with small dogs and chickens on the other side of the trees, which resulted in some yapping from the four legged crew on both sides.

Sites were well spaced and most had power also there was a old but clean bathroom with two showers in men’s and women’s. There was a dump station at the park also a couple places to get water. Most of the sites were back in but there were quite a few parallel with the road. It was north of Highway two about a half a mile. There was an old but well-maintained laundry about a quarter of a mile between town and the park. There are several ball fields at the front of the park. It is surrounded by rolling Hills.

Campendium comes thru again. Easy access off I15 and close to Hwy 2. Sites have plenty of room between them and almost all can handle big rigs. Most back in sites are level. The pull thrus look like they would need some leveling to work. Our site had 30 amp and 20 amp service. Water spigots are scattered around the campground. Quiet with only 6 other campers in the CG. Men’s bathroom is old but it was clean and the shower was hot with good pressure. Nice touch is the sprinkler system. The grass is green and lush. Would definitely stay here again when passing through.
ATT was just 3 bars but very fast.

The sites were gravel with grass and some trees between neighboring sites. When we arrived there was one other camper, but a few others arrived later in the day. It was very quiet. There is a dump station which we did use. All in all a good place for us to stop and rest on our way to Glacer.

My Husband & I left Glacier National park and heading to East. It was late and we couldn’t find out affordable decent Motel. We decided to stay this campsite. The park was clean, spacious and quiet. We had a good night sleep and good shower!
