"Smaller Campground"

This is one of the smaller campgrounds along the Blue Ridge Parkway - and either your first or last depending on the direction you're heading. It's also at the lowest elevation. There's a handful of creekside spots - some first come first... Read more

"Older Park - Some Decent Sites"

Like many of the older campgrounds along the parkway, this one suffers from only having a handful of sites suitable for RVs. Many are unlevel or angled the wrong way to back into. We drove both the Tent Loop (ranger said our van could stay there)... Read more

"Park with an Identity Crisis"

This little RV park is privately owned, but managed by the County - but also part of the official Blue Ridge Parkway visitor's center. They seem to be making the visitor's center an adventure park destination with tent camping, zip lines, tubing... Read more

"Decent.. "

This is a huge campground, but relatively few RV suitable sites. Many are unlevel or super small. Or angled the wrong way to back into. We lucked out that the campground was pretty empty when we arrived, so we were able to settle into a... Read more

"What a Gem!"

First, I can't believe this is the first review of this campground on Campendium - and we consider it a MUST when traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are two loops (one for tents, it says for vans.. but its not) and one for RVs/trailers... Read more

"An OK Stop"

Third campground along the BRP when heading northbound, and likely on of our least favorites. The sites are fairly close together and offer little sense of privacy. A lot of unlevel sites as well, but some sites more suitable for larger rigs.... Read more

"Older - But Some Nice Sites"

Second campground when heading northbound on the BRP. The RV loop has a mix of back-in sites and 'pull off' sites for larger rigs. Mostly level (unlike so many other BRP campgrounds). We were able to snag A9 (a reservable site that was open) which... Read more

"One of the Best on the Parkway!"

The first of the BRP campgrounds you encounter when heading north. All sites are primitive with no hook-ups, but there's water spigots throughout and a dump station. This one also has flush toilets and a shower. The sites are quite a mix here,... Read more

"Always a Pleasure!"

What more is there to say about this park? It's just classic Florida, access to a great beach, easy bike/walk to eating & shopping and private feeling sites. Do take note that as of summer 2021, there is an extra $7/night surcharge for... Read more

"Old School Park, Old School Forest"

As many others have said.. you come here for the park itself, not the campground. The old growth vegetation is simply amazing and well worth exploring on the many amazing short trails and a paved loop to access them. The campground however..... Read more
