Are there any drivable roads to do sightseeing at Letchworth State Park? I'm not able to walk very long.

Overall Rating
Letchworth is called the "Grand Canyon of the East.". While it may not pack the punch of the Grand Canyon (what else could?), this is one impressive park that is well worth a visit if passing through western NY. It covers over 14,000 acres and includes a gorge formed by the Genesee River with rock walls over 500' high. The park also ... more
Letchworth is called the "Grand Canyon of the East.". While it may not pack the punch of the Grand Canyon (what else could?), this is one impressive park that is well worth a visit if passing through western NY. It covers over 14,000 acres and includes a gorge formed by the Genesee River with rock walls over 500' high. The park also has three major waterfalls. Camping is contained in a relatively small area with 338 sites, but spacing is reasonable. Sites are shaded and ours offered 30 and 50 amp electric hookup (not available at all sites). If you're bringing a pet, be aware when making reservations that some loops are pet-friendly and others are designated "no pets.". Also be aware that cell service is limited here.
