The park, itself, is great, if not a particularly "wild" experience. The trails are mostly paved, and there are snack bars and toilets located throughout. A road runs along the south rim providing access to the overlooks, waterfalls, nature center, and visitors' center. But the gorge itself is fantastic, and the trails are pleasant. We liked the nature center, though it was a little small. Staff was universally helpful and friendly.
The campsite wasn't spectacular, but it was solid. The sites are a little close together (you can see your neighbors through the trees), but it was still quiet. They all have the standard fire pit and picnic table. There are central showers for each loop, and we found these to be clean and in good working order.

We were in loop 500 which was fine, not too many people (end September). Some sites were flooded but our site 533 luckily was not! The showers and toilets were comfortable and with very hot water. We only stayed one night but we would have stayed more if we could. We did the trail 18 starting from loop 100 a bit before sunset and it was beautiful. The next day we drove to the south part of the park, stopped several times on the way for some overlooks and visited the falls, it was gorgeous and we even saw 2 bold eagles! The park is very well maintained and really worth a visit!

All the stonework done by the CCC was amazing and a testament to the quality of work done by the 3000 CCC workers during the depression.

Beautiful waterfalls and gorge and hiking trails.
Most of the sites are wooded and enough privacy between them and there are other sites that are not so private.
The majority of sites are gravel with the exception of a few concrete pads.
We spent August 3rd through the 5th 2022

We stayed in loop 7, site 705 at Letchworth. It is an excellent site with trees for privacy and a large area on the curb side of the trailer. It is conveniently near the bath house but not so close that you are disturbed by others going there. The park is amazing, and there are lots of great little towns nearby.

Letchworth State Park is a very large park - with the amazing falls at the south end. The campground is at the north end. There are nearly 9 miles separating the two. While the campground itself is nice, it's not close to anything you come to the park to experience.
As we travel in a van this meant we planned our falls adventures by entering the park from the south, doing the hikes to the falls and then settling in. As long as you know this going in, the campground itself is an ok stay.
The sites are separated by several loops - some allowing pets, others not. Some have newer bathhouses with separate private suites, others are older style. Some have decent cell signal (800 loop seems fine, but has the older style bathhouse), others don't.
Some sites have great privacy, others don't. We followed advise on previous reviews and used www.campadk.com to view campsite photos to select one open that best met our desires. Google maps also has this campground indicating specific site #s on their satellite view which can help.
We selected a site in B-loop on the outer side with a decent amount of privacy, and used the bathhouse in the 700 loop to get the newer suites. It was what we needed to catch up on some work for a few days. But we would have otherwise been bored here, as there's just not much right at the campground except a trail.
There is a central campstore with laundromat (seem to recall the pricing was on the high side for laundry). And we kept online just fine with Verizon.

The park is amazing, with a very good general store, a few snack shops etc. No water at the site, but available on the loop. Restrooms were average for a state park, but maintained all the same. Well maintained trails and roads. Be sure to visit the waterfall.
Verizon struggled to get a signal in the 800 loop. Other parts of the park were better, and some place no signal at all.
