Unfortunately our power cord (50 ft) was not long enough, so we went without for the night. We were able to move to another site the next day and could reach the box. That was the only negative. Positives: great staff, clean campground, wonderful hiking trails and most of all: the beach! The early October weather was amazing and the sand was lovely and warm. The beaches were quiet and clean. This park was so special and we were so grateful to have found it on our two week trip to relax and sleep well.

The beach is long and absolutely beautiful, and the water 'refreshing' to swim in.
The nature trail was open during our stay, but there was a sign at the start that it hadn't yet been maintained - there were several mud pit obstacles to get around. We also did the overlook across from the park, which was absolutely lovely.
All and all, a great stay along Lake Superior.
Ample cell signal here to keep online on our US roaming carriers.

We arrived here and got an unserviced site at the last minute. The positives were the showers and bathroom, surprisingly clean for the density of campers here. Our site was long and level but only 2 rows over from Hwy 17 so there was a lot of traffic noise. Generator hours are very generous - basically anytime that isn’t designated a quiet hour. The sites in our area are all in the trees so there was no solar power. We had about 3 bars for Rogers at our site.
The beach is why you come to Pancake Bay - it is long with beautiful white sand. The water was a lot warmer than I expected for Lake Superior - shallow and protected area. There are some interesting grasses in the dunes. Unfortunately, the Nature Trail is closed for the year so we weren’t able to walk the boardwalk and read the interpretative signs.
We hiked the Lookout Trail - the views were amazing from the top.

No water available at the park due to plumbing problems at well. Most other PP in Ontario had notices up that the potable water there should be boiled first.
