"Much Work to be Done"

Stayed here for two nights on a weekend. Sites are very tight with a narrow road coming in a gate accessed through a residential neighborhood. Sites themselves are very close together and all face away from the lake. In a class A you are looking... Read more

"OK for an Overnight"

To call it a "Resort" is stretching it. It has no amenities of a resort. All I saw was a playground for children, Some interior roads are paved, most are gravel. No good signage to locate the campground from the west. We were on site D28. 74'... Read more

"Maybe the Best Park in the Reno Area"

We have stayed at two other parks in Reno, both were adequate but not enjoyable from the shear size to the size of the sites. Gold Ranch has very wide interior roads that make navigating easy with a toad. Sites are arranged nicely with a decent... Read more

"Tough to navigate in the dark without a good map."

We only stayed one night and it appears that this is a decent campground considering all that is available (in our experience) on 80 in Wyoming is windswept with no trees. We never use the shower houses so cannot comment on the condition. I would... Read more

"All Sites are Large and Have FHU"

This state park campground is brand new. Opening in May or June of this year (2022). There are no trees planted yet so the A/C ran a lot. Only 40 sites with approximately 80-100 feet between most sites. All concrete sites are level and wide.... Read more

"Good for an overnight. Convenient to the freeway and a Walmart. "

Stopped here for an overnight to visit one of our customers and for Patty to do laundry with full hook-ups. One row of gravel sites just off the road. All back in and fairly level. Did not see a restroom/shower house. It appeared that the park... Read more

"Wonderful State Park with History"

Be sure to tour the Sears farmhouse and the grounds. On the weekend in the summer is a blacksmith on site. Our grandsons really enjoyed learning about blacksmithing. The gentleman blacksmith was very good at answering ALL of their questions.... Read more

"Large sites and well kept"

We stayed here in early November so the park was very quiet. Sites 15-37 are in the older section of the park and therefore are shorter. Most are not level and some have very steep downhill grades to the site. 1-10 are newer 30 amp sites with... Read more

"Tight turns, narrow roads"

I drove through this campground looking for a spot for our 44’ Blue Bird. They list 50’ sites. However, there is no reasonable way I felt I could get our bus into the high 90’s to 100 site numbers. The turn into the sites is 90 degrees and very... Read more
