We lucked out and reserved site D-38 after we scouted out the campground. It is a pull through, but we pulled in with the utilities on the passenger side to enjoy the lake view. Only one night but from our experience we would definitely stay again. D-38 easily held our 44’ Blue Bird.

Lots of mature trees, though sites are quite close together. All very well kept and pads seem to be level throughout.

Beautiful spot. Highly recommend not getting a site near the boat ramp unless you like getting awakened at all hours of the night. The rest rooms are outdated and were closed during our stay.

Wildlife every time we stay we see deer. Shady trees, spacious sites, clean area, good dump. The lake is beautiful. The drive to the park is on a busy highway, 59. We have never been on a weekend but I assume it is very popular then.

We drove here from Wooly Hollow State Park, Arkansas, on December 31, 2021, to begin our 14 day stay.
The campground, given that it was January, was almost empty, and those who were there were spread out, giving each other much more than sufficient privacy. Even though we weren't on the waterfront, the absence of other campers offered us a clear view of the rather sizeable lake. Our site had full hookups with a frost-free water pipe, so we had no problems when the nights dipped below freezing. The sites were what one expects from a COE campground: level, well plumbed, well spaced sites, and well wired. There's a very good playground for the children. There's a 3.9 km. out and back hiking trail through the East Texas Piney Woods, well worth a twice a day stroll. There is great opportunity for making good use of your binocular, what with the lake, and also the forest. Make friends with the local Blue Heron. Enjoy playing tag with the Great Horned Owl as you walk in the woods. Watch the Terns take their nosedives into the water. Observe the hundred or more Pelicans skim the surface of the water as they fly. Take note of the many Red Bellied Woodpeckers as they fly through, and call from the Oak tree canopy of the campground. Enjoy the marvel nature gifts to those who sit and observe.
I'm not one to take note of cell service, but my wife, who works remotely, worked without any problem during our entire stay.
When we wander this way again, we'll be certain to stay here, maybe in site B16; it served us well.
The nightly cost for our stay was courtesy of the Federal Government handout given to those, regardless of political affiliation, with the Magic Pass.
There is no hesitancy on my part in giving this place 5 stars, but at night, when you look up, you will see a dark sky filled with innumerable stars.

Pulled into a level site on a busy Friday night. About every site was filled with a family. Great big pines add to the setting and a lakeside site would be really nice to watch a sunset over Wright Pittman Lake. Disregard the smell of sulfur as you enter the park it dissipates on top of the hill

We were in site B5 (one of 15 sites out of 124 that have FHU), for 12 days in September and October 2020. This site was not very level but we had great views of the lake out the front and side of our MH. It had a grill with table, picnic table and a fire ring. The sites are nicely sized, well-spaced apart and angled, providing nice privacy. This is our second time visiting this CG because we enjoyed it last year. It’s a fairly quiet campground – even the weekend partiers quieted down around 10ish. There is no WiFi or cable, Verizon 4G was 3-4 bars, 8 OTA channels. We did not use the bathrooms. The Park Hosts that arrived in October were very friendly. Beautiful sunsets from site B5!!
