Paths to beach are a bit of a challenge (lots of logs to climb over), but you can walk for miles of undeveloped sand and rocky beaches at low tide. I’d definitely stay again!

This is a great spot with easy beach access. There are no reservations and it fills up by early afternoon, so get here early. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. There is no water, so come prepared.

Check with the host and the board at the bathrooms to verify which sites are open.

There are definitely toilets but no sinks. I am not sure how the other reviewer missed them since you register literally at the toilet! No other amenities except that it is across the street from the Tsunami evacuation route. Listed on the NPS website as 21-foot sites with a few for 35 feet, well there were either vans, tent campers with lots of tents, or huge rigs. Class As, large 5th wheels, all that do not really have problems because there are no site markings except the picnic tables... so it does really start to look like an extremely busy highway gravel rest area next to the ocean. If every single neighbor would not have been using generators nonstop this would have been a great site. Note that high tides can come all the way up to the rocks and beyond so use caution when tide is coming in and check out the tide chart posted by the toilets.

We came in late July early August 2021. The weather wasn't great as it was always cloudy and overcast. You are right on the beach which is great. There is not alot to do in the area so I personally recommend a short stay.
We are fulltime and worked stayed for 3 days before heading north 45 minutes closer to forks and the NP.

$10 is only for NPS Interagency Access (ie disability) or Golden (seniors). All others are $20.
This site is literally looking right out at the ocean. The grounds ain’t nothing special, but again…looking right at the ocean.

I was ready to leave when we pulled into the park. There were a lot of units end to end in a small space. I changed my opinion on our first day. John and Denise are the park hosts. They are the most engaging hosts I"ve encountered. They were great at solving problems when people were vying for the same space or people were not following the rules They were out in the park every day interacting with campers in the park. We met some great people because we were close to our neighbors. The place is first come first serve. It was full every night. . This park has a board that shows the check-out day for every space. If you want to be close to the ocean check the board to see which sites are on the water and which sites are leaving that day and go talk to that camper. If you wait for them to leave, someone else will have already asked for space. Show up early in the morning to ensure a space. The site was 10.00 a night with our senior pass. The best part was listening to the roar of the surf lull us to sleep. This is a special place.

Minutes after arriving, while my bf was registering us, I was just about to tie my dog up when a poop-faced couple came-a-walking. I said a cheery, "Hello!" The woman, instinctively, sort of almost smiled back. Her lips quickly turned slanted to match her constipated husband's face, though. A few minutes after that, my bf was back, and we were headed to the beach. He was ahead of me, on the beach, and I was leashing my dog by our RV. The camp host drove by, lectured me about leashing dogs, then yelled down to my bf at the water. Our dogs are very nice, friendly, mind their own business, don't run up to people, don't fight other dogs, don't bark, they did nothing that could annoy anybody, and there was barely anybody on the beach because it was May. In fact, I don't think anybody was walking on that beach the first time we got scolded. We did keep our dogs tethered the rest of our stay except for a few times, and each time they were off leash momentarily we got busted. We got four lectures about leashing our dogs in less than 24 hrs. So, this is a great spot if you don't like dogs! For dog lovers, though, it was pretty ridiculous to have to walk them on a leash on the unpopulated stretch of beach. Heck, when you go further south, there are dogs running around everywhere on the beach, in crowded locations. I'd rather be there. Other than that, it was awesome being so close to the ocean! Five stars for that. But there were no water taps anywhere, not even in the bathroom, so you couldn't fill a tub to wash dishes. We had to wash dishes with Aquafina.
