Where is the closest place to fill up your water tank before arriving at Allens Bar Campground?

Can you tent camp if you have a camp toilet? We have a rooftop tent and utilize a portable toilet in a pop up tent.

It looks solid - would it accommodate a 40' diesel pusher or is that asking too much?

We stayed here for 5 days 4 nights end of August. We have a 41 ft fifth wheel and could not get on the river due to our jacks being to low. We have a Lippert Auto Level system and the jacks hang to low. We camped up near the trees and enjoyed our stay. Good location to explore Olympic NP.

The 4x4 on the truck made it easy to navigate the rocks. Had 3-5 others trailer and vans that stayed too, but didn’t hear them. We did have a class B van get stuck and couldn’t navigate the rocks, so we had to help pull him up the small hill. I would use caution if in a small vehicle.

The area is lovely, trees back from the river and plenty of sunny places for your solar. The river is quiet and far enough away from the road that it is blissfully quiet. Excellent ATT coverage at 3 bars. I am amazed that we were on sand and flat river rocks and LEVEL!

We scoped this area out on a Saturday, and it was PACKED. There were tent campers there, and there are no bathrooms, so they are using the surrounding area as a toilet. It was too crowded for us to find a spot, so we came back on Sunday—still too crowded. By Monday morning, we were able to find a decent spot by the river. We had quite a few neighbors, but everyone was much more quiet and respectful during the weekdays. There were at least 10 other RVs there at all times, but people seemed to come and go every couple of days.
The river is gorgeous, and the weather was perfect. The land is basically free to camp on. We did pay $5 per vehicle per day to use the road, as the road itself is private property. I would avoid the place during the weekend, but if you can be there during the week or on the off-season, it is amazing. We were there for four days, and it was just enough.

This Place Is Awesome. It Does Get Crowded. SELF-CONTAINED people. That Means You Can’t Shit In The Woods. We Had So Many People Walking By Our Trailer All Day Every Day To Go Poop In The Woods. Not Cool.

What a find! This is private land with a $5 per night fee. There is no address so use the GPS coordinates above. The entrance is directly across the street from Hoh Mainline Rd. At the entrance is a mailbox with fee envelopes. Head down a mostly gravel / hard packed dirt road to the "beach". This is really a packed down rock / used to be river bed. Pick a spot you like! There are several firepits you can use as a guide. For our 4 nights, there were two of us then others came and went. Surprisingly, we had 5 bars for T-Mobile. We were able to get water for free at the Queets Trading Post (gas station) 20 miles south of the campground. Did buy stuff as a thank you. The spigot is behind the building to the right of exit door. If you have a long enough hose, pull up far enough that if someone wants to use the adjacent diesel pump, they have room to pull in. The entrance to the Glacier National Park Hoh Rainforest is just 2 miles north then an 18 mile drive. Well worth spending a few hours hiking the two nature trails. Forks is a functional town with gas, grocery, library, etc. As others have said, please follow the campground rules so that this amazing place is not taken away!

We came here in early August and it was very crowded on the weekends and the second week itself was also packed. We are full timers and the AT&T internet service was great and never had any issues with it.

What a great place to boon docking. Nice of the owner to open access to his property to boondocking and charging a very small fee. Please respect and leave no trace.

There were several other campers in the area but there was plenty of room for everyone. We have a 37 foot class A motorhome and we were easily able to get our RV in and out. If you go closer to the water there is a big dip, watch your rear end. We stayed back from the waters edge, but there were several big RV's closer to the water. We had great cell service with Verizon.

This spot is amazing. We arrived on a Tuesday late afternoon and there were hardly any spots left in the main area (which was surprising). We ended up parking to the right on a thinner strip of land. This was nice because we had less traffic but obviously had to keep our site clean/enough space for others to drive through or walk through. During the rainy season, I’m not sure it would work to park on this section. We had some rain (not that much) 2 nights before we left and the river came up about 2 feet.
Solar was great. Verizon had 4 bars but at times was nearly unworkable (we are fulltimers and work remotely), even with booster, due to overcrowded tower. This was incredibly annoying. Our friends had an at&t hotspot and it worked better. The more crowded it was, the worse the cell situation was. And vice versa.
This place was busy and crowded our entire 12 nights here. This didn’t really bother us, but it was kind of unexpected. If you’re looking for solitude and privacy, this is not the place for you. I’m sure in the off season it calms down.
You are about 15 minutes from Ruby Beach, which is awesome! 35 min from the Hoh Rainforest. Forks is about 25 min away. Free water at a gas station in town - Mobil gas station across from the Shell. We have huge tanks so didn’t need to dump but there is a state park nearby where you can dump for $5. However it is not for big rigs due to the access. There are other places you can dump further away.
It is incredibly gracious of the owner to let everyone stay here for such a low price. Make sure to pay (cash only!!) and pick up after yourself. We were parked along the tree line and there was a lot of toilet paper and even some old feces. You are supposed to be self contained to camp here, but it does not appear people care to follow this.
Overall we would definitely stay again. 4 stars due to the cell situation, crowds, and messes in the bushes.
