Is the road going up narrow where your rig will get scratched badly? We have a 44' 5th wheel toyhauler.

I have visited that site for the past 3 years. In August 2021 the road was in much better condition than 2019 and 2020. There have been big rigs up there that I wouldn’t imagine making the drive up. Last year, even though the road was widened and the trees cut back there was a sign stating that vehicles over 30 feet should use the Lower Teton View area or the Spread Creek dispersed site nearby.

The road is the typical fire/forest road width. Only a few places to pass oncoming vehicles. Hohestly it’s on the challenging side with a rig your size. It’s done all the time with the occasional scratch I’m sure. People sometimes use a spotter at the top to tell the larger rigs when it’s safe to come up. Avoiding oncoming traffic.

The road is wide enough that you shouldn’t scratch things up, but it is just a 1 lane road. I was able to send a vehicle up before starting up with the rig, so they could make sure no traffic was coming down.

you can go to the Lower one without an issue! less bugs down there if you stay on the gravel side.

Last spring the local hot shots cut the trees back opening up the road to more sunlight and better access. As stated, it is not two-vehicles wide, so meeting someone could be an issue. Overall should not be an issue. Great views.

don't think it will get scratched at all, so long as you go slow and not meet someone heading the opposite direction. road is narrow and with a rig that size it could be a problem in meeting another rig going opposite direction

Yes it can happen and that’s an awfully big rig to drag up that road. Especially if you get up there and it’s full which seems to be most of the time now sine it’s been ‘discovered’.
