"Easy access to Yellowstone"

Free camping 20 minutes outside of Yellowstone? I'll take it! Beautiful views of the mountains, plenty of space for big rigs. Snow was fully melting by the time we left 5/19/23.

"Avoid!"

Ugh so I get this is like the only spot in the area, but oof. Packed like sardines....sites aren't even level. I would not go back, but if you absolutely need to stay near Monument Valley, it's doable for a night.

Very peaceful area. Saw a moose nearby! Falling asleep to the sound of the Animas River is incredible. Super easy access to Silverton and the Million Dollar Highway. Highly recommend!

"Absolutely Incredible. "

Absolutely incredible. Really wish I could have stayed longer. Hidden gem honestly!!! Such a beautiful campground with a lake. Not the best cell service, but it's so peaceful. Go if you get the chance! There are some FCFS which is what we grabbed.
