Our spot for our 21 ft camper and Nissan Armada was to the right in a dip protected by cedars from wind and gave us lots of privacy. We had to back in to avoid turning into branches. 25 minutes to Springdale. There were others within sight and some close. There were large mhomes, car campers, and van campers. The whole area was clean. There was one large 4 wheeler that came by slowly checking the view, but no other traffic moving about on the dirt. If dry, any 2wd can make it.

There are a few offshoots from the entrance off Hwy 89. If you go right at your first opportunity then keep left, you come to a wide open area where you can leave the camper and really scout around. I’m so glad we came here. It’s quiet, private and potentially level! Great views, too.

We weren't able to stay in the area at the top of the hill. However we went to the left at the Y and found a spot in the open area where there was some heavy equipment and large dirt piles. While we were exposed to the wind, and there was plenty of that, it was a nice spot. We were alone most of the time and the trucks, not many, and heavy equipment operators left us alone. These were state vehicles so not private land. We had 5G full bars on T-Mobile.
Campendium: It's long overdue to update the selections for phone coverage quality.
The one issue we had was one day a family came in with there large Class A and a huge trailer, 3 children and they went UTV riding for the day. When they got back they gathered some wood and started a nice fire with a lot of hot coals in the middle of the large dirt area. My issue was when they decided to drive off leaving the fire , basically, roaring and in fairly strong winds. Easily an ember could have been lifted and sent into the brush area. So I took our water jug over, spread out the wood and extinguished the fire. Just wondering what the lesson was for those kids about responsible fire care and safety.
Too many appliances laying around in the area though.

It was easy to get to this area from Highway 89. We arrived shortly before sunset so didn’t explore much. Cell service on AT&T was good enough for video conferencing and a full day of work, 20Mbs for AT&T and 35mbs for Verizon. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

There were some large construction equipment that seemed to be working mid morning time frame. Not sure if this is an active gravel pit or what they are planning on building here

We checked out cell coverage in all the BLM's on the east side of Zion and this one was the best (20mbps down). Up on a mountain, lots of space for larger rigs and though there was a highway pretty close, we felt it was pretty quiet. Views were great! One of our favorite boondocking locations.

Easy access and a fair amount of flat places for bigger rigs. Very sunny and the vismews of the mountains is spectacular. Class Bs will have some shade options here. It just a short 100 yard drive from the highway and the car traffic is barely noticeable

Stayed here for the quick access to Zion NP. We also went to Bryce (1HR) and Grand Canyon (2hr) plus several other attractions and activities. Easy access for our 40 ft motorhome. Not crowded at all Thanksgiving week. Several fairly flat spots. Nice views.

Stayed here in October and it was very quiet. The area with best views was full so we took old 89 to the left. It opens out to huge quarry area.
