It was a little confusing pulling in with a big rig because of how quick the turn off the highway was as you are going down a few percent grade.
When you first pull in consider scouting the area before deciding which way to turn because to be honest I didn’t think we’d be able to go straight ahead up the hill like many reviews said to do. Turning right was a dead end with no way to turn around. So we ended up turning left and found a big turn around to park in next to where the bulldozer was parked.
We are 32 foot class C with tow and we just weren’t comfortable with the other options so we felt we were limited to only a few sites at this location. I’d say it’s definitely easier for smaller rigs to get the prime spots here.

This was an easy place to access and the views are awesome. During the day until about 9:30pm there is constant road noise - it's a great place for a night but I wouldn't spend time here during the day if you are sensitive to traffic.
Lots of easy places to choose from.

This was a beautiful dispersed campsite that is in great proximity to Kanab, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and even the Grand Canyon. There are about 8-10 sites in the main gravel loop area if you go straight ahead when you turn off the highway. If this area is full, there was a gravel pit down the hill with ample space to at least park for the night. A few ambitious spots if you take a hard right when you get off the highway, but the prime spots are found by just sticking straight ahead (a little veer to the right). You can dump at the Chevron just down the hill in Mt Carmel Junction as well.

Good area for several rigs including bigger rigs. Good for single or multiple nights. Some hiway noise but quiets at night. For bigger rigs either go straight up hill or turn left, do not go right. To the right there are a few small sites but no way to turn around anything over 20’.

The main benefits are easy access, gravel surface, centrally located for a lot of exploring in the Kanab/Zion area, The highway is close and it is heard. The area generally is popular with OHV but we never saw one actually come into the camping area. It is a dead end and probably most folks know that. There are some other smaller single spots up the dirt road a little ways. 3-4 bars Verizon 4G. Main downside is highway noise and cleanliness. We would definitely use this place again.

Couple of things to note: yes, you hear the Highway, but in an RV it didn’t really affect us. Maybe in a tent it would be annoying. Also, there was a smaller Class B that pulled into the entrance of our site, but luckily there was another way out in the morning. Not sure if they just didn’t see us further down the way, or didn’t know, but it worked out.

Pulled in here after scouting some places close to Zion east entry. This place is awesome! The only down side is that it’s close to 89 so traffic noise is pretty bad. Sites are pretty obvious. When you enter from 89 bear to the right. You will see several sites nestled in the trees. However, if you feel comfortable traveling up the dirt road (not the old quasi paved) you can find several spots on the top of the ridge. It’s a bit quieter there but still lots of traffic noise. When you enter if you pull straight ahead from 89 you’ll see a huge open area.

This is one of the smallest boondocking areas we’ve ever stayed at but it’s gorgeous and easily accessible. We almost pulled our 22’ trailer up the hill to the best spot with the best views but decided it was just a little bit too dicey and found another spot that we had to back into after trying to use the round about and the turn being too tight. Still wonderful views! I would arrive during the week earlier in the day during the popular seasons, Friday night every spot was filled up.
