Couple of things to note: yes, you hear the Highway, but in an RV it didn’t really affect us. Maybe in a tent it would be annoying. Also, there was a smaller Class B that pulled into the entrance of our site, but luckily there was another way out in the morning. Not sure if they just didn’t see us further down the way, or didn’t know, but it worked out.

Pulled in here after scouting some places close to Zion east entry. This place is awesome! The only down side is that it’s close to 89 so traffic noise is pretty bad. Sites are pretty obvious. When you enter from 89 bear to the right. You will see several sites nestled in the trees. However, if you feel comfortable traveling up the dirt road (not the old quasi paved) you can find several spots on the top of the ridge. It’s a bit quieter there but still lots of traffic noise. When you enter if you pull straight ahead from 89 you’ll see a huge open area.

This is one of the smallest boondocking areas we’ve ever stayed at but it’s gorgeous and easily accessible. We almost pulled our 22’ trailer up the hill to the best spot with the best views but decided it was just a little bit too dicey and found another spot that we had to back into after trying to use the round about and the turn being too tight. Still wonderful views! I would arrive during the week earlier in the day during the popular seasons, Friday night every spot was filled up.

found a good spot, it's right off the freeway and the road in is great. We did a LOT of exploring because it's so centrally located.

We filled up our water jugs at the Chevron station 2 miles away (they have a pump spigot and air next to the diesel pump).
To get to the main open area, take either leg of the Y and go straight across the old paved road. If you want alternatives, you can take a left onto the old paved road, or take a right and then an immediate left on a dirt road that goes up the hill. You will come across some nice sites on both side roads.
Had nice neighbors come & go through our week.
FYI, Highway isn’t too far away, so the road noise may bother you if you’re here in warm weather with your windows open. We were here in the cold weather so it didn’t bother us at all

If you turn right at the initial Y, you’ll come to another Y. If you turn right at that Y it quickly come to a gate where you can no longer drive with little room to turn around. Vans maybe. Big rigs no. There was one small spot on the left here in between the roads. Next: So if you were to take the left at that same Y (second Y from the right of the initial one), you will start going up an extremely steep, severely washed out, gravel road with very deep ruts. Again vans could maybe do this, definitely no RVs. By the time we realized, we weren’t going any farther, we were stuck with no where to turn around. Not fun. After an hour of arguing and 2 inch Jack knifed k turns, we walked around to scout more spots on the other side.
SO if you were to have stayed straight on the first Y when you pull in, that’s the only place for anyone not in a compact van. There’s only room for maybe 4-5 big rigs up there and of course they were all taken. Basically a huge open lot, good views but full. It was sun down on a Saturday. There was a fancy $500k class A back there. Like dude, go to an RV park, you clearly can afford it.
So now for the “left” at the first Y. Also a bust. It drives you back to a place where used to be a great spot but has now turned into a construction zone. There were many giant piles of lose rocks, machinery, porta potties, unstable gravel, and giant random pit quarries dug all over the place. With potential rain we weren’t feeling like risking being in a mudslide so we finally gave up and left and paid for a great spot in town. Well worth the $53 but I’ll never get all that wasted time back.
I found all these other reviews confusing and conflicting so I hope this helps you plan around the current conditions at this place.

Right off the highway but no noise that I could detect.
Fairly clean sites (although someone neglected “leave no trace” protocols and left a little gift that my dogs almost got into). I saw no trash and many many great, fairly level options.
It was between this area and Twin Hollows dispersed camping to the south but I would totally stay here in the future.
* I am guessing maybe it was the heat, but I was surprised that I didn’t see anyone out there. Such a beautiful spot… 🤔⛺️🏜

We arrived in the dark, this place was incredible to wake up to. After taking in some of the views from my tent, I got up and walked around the camp. That’s when I noticed some tp. And some more tp, with a side of poo. On the other side of camp more poo. Basically in camp behind a bush, one not far from my tent set up. not even an attempt to bury. Really disappointing and disgusting. Everyone’s gotta poo but be respectful to the land and other who want to enjoy it.
