Most sites were occupied when we arrived later afternoon in summer, but we managed to find a spacious site with some trees and access to the river. The whole area is located in a small river valley, which means that mornings/nights are quite cool because it takes a while for the sun to rise over the mountain ridge and it goes down quite early at night behind the opposite ridge. During hot summer days that's just perfect.
Don't expect great scenery here, but if you are looking for a nice secluded spot in a quite valley and a river where kids can play around, than this is a great spot!
Other reviews say that there is Verizon coverage, but we had to walk back to the main road to have one bar at most.

Gps was on the spot, close to park. Great that i had access to the creek/river after a long hot day. Found a spot easily. Some sandy spot when i came to park so be careful and set my car in all wheel drive. The road in was good condition. I was able to get cell service (didn’t look at which provide as I’m Canadian) but service did come in

I camped for a week here in my 25’ class C with a Jeep toad and had plenty of room. There are several flat areas to park on as well as several that are not flat and some are very sandy so scout ahead before pulling in to one and getting stuck. Most are right along the river and I heard that it will flood occasionally so watch the weather. My camp was right across the road from a corral and a few took advantage of that with their horses. Mt Carmel is less than a mile away with convenience stores and restaurants.
The place is rather noisy at times with all the utv/s by s/ atv traffic and dusty. It’s quiet at night though. I’d stay here again.

I arrived on a late Friday afternoon. Drove as far as I was comfortable in a 2WD Sprinter. Turned back and parked in an open area with 4 other rigs. It was level enough for a 1 night stay. Lots of ORVs and traffic coming through in the morning.

Since Watchman CG was not available, this spot worked great. Even though we had to drive into the park each day, it was not a imposition. We also had convenient access to the Vermilion National Monument and Cedar Breaks National Monument

Very dusty, try to keep your windows closed if you can, great sun exposure for solar. Better in the off season since it us dusty. Will pickup some semitruck noise off 89 above you but tolerable for a free spot!
ATV UTV haven as well which adds to the dust with them tearing it up and down the road from dawn to dusk.

Stayed here close to Zion east entrance. It was a little hot and I had to work. Great cell service and nice areas for big rigs. Only moved to get higher ground and cooler temps until we could check out the park. I still work 40hr per week so needed a spot with good cell service and this works!!

I lost my Lake St. Joseph Canada bucket hat by the stream. I’d do anything to get it back. Anyways kinda sandy but great place to stay.
