“quiet spot a good ways off the main highway”

Lots of open space for pups to run, and a decent network of roads to hike or cruise around on (weather permitting). Slow 4 bars VZ 4G LTE with booster. Well situated with tons of great day trip possibilities. Free camping with a 14 day limit. Sandy camp spot so 4x4 is a good idea.

I took a look at this location while scouting possible camping sites in the Kanab area. It is a large, flat, open area of dried sandstone mud. It looks like it would be a good camping area, and very quiet. However, with my experience of this type of surface when it rains, I would only camp here if the forecast was dry. The access road ... more
