Great location with amazing views of the Organ Mountains. Rocky bumpy road may be challenge for big rigs. Water available at entrance to Aguirre Spring Campground. Need 30’ hose.

Pulled in my 13 foot T@b trailer and the road was rough but passable, only about 10 spots and they are very spread out. Came on a Saturday night and only two other vehicles besides ours.

The road is a bit sketchy for a 27 ft rig! Do not recommend this road if you have something longer! And thank you to the person who left fire wood on the site! This place kind of summarizes what boondocking is all about, quiet, in nature, fabulous views, stunning sunsets and free. Few cars go by on Baylor Canyon Rd.

I’m not sure how we did it but we barely made it through this road with our 31 ft airstream. The lovely gentleman at the entrance to the road said the first pretty decent dip was the hardest one and that it wasn’t that crowded. It was really crowded..every single spot was taken which would just be your luck of the draw but the road was pretty tight next to the fencing and there were huge rocks at some points of the road. I wouldn’t recommend taking a low clearance or long trailer in there. Like I said we barely made it through…pretty sure God was lifting us over the boulders! Good luck…it’s a beautiful spot but we were so anxious and frustrated when we drove through!

I arrived at night with my Winnebago Micro Minnie. The road was pretty rocky and narrow, most spots were full. I wasn’t sure if the road would go all the way through. Luckily I found a spot and the road does continue through. I wouldn’t suggest rigs much larger than mine. Felt safe. Coyotes at night so if you’ve got dogs be careful. The area was extremely clean, next to no trash. Everyone around me would wave when I’d come and go. Unhitched and would leave the trailer during day time, others would do the same.

As a mountain girl, I loved this site so much. We were so sad when our 14 day stay was up. You're camped right as the base of the Organ Mountains which are absolutely stunning. Lots of beautiful hiking trails in this area. The road is a little rough with large rocks, but if you take it slow you will be fine. It's basically a rough dirt road with a number of pull off sites. I'd say about 12-15 sites in total. They were never all full in our entire stay. Some are more suitable for vans however there were about 5 spots that could have accommodated our 32' fifth wheel. We picked up a lot of broken glass which is always a bummer but unfortunately seems more and more common these days. Can't beat the views here! It was our favorite boondocking site to date. About 5 minutes away on dripping springs road you can fill water at La Cueva recreation area for $5. Rangers stopped by often but we're very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Road is bumpy-but was worth it for the amazing view. The sunset was beautiful against the Organ Mountains. There were only 2 other people that camped up the road-but were far enough away we couldn’t see them. Very quiet.

The road is super rocky, big 10-12” rocks sticking up. I managed in my older Ford Escape, but the road is rockier the further you get. Spots are super spread out which is amazing.

We stayed here 3 days and would certainly return if we were in the area again. This campground has a fantastic view of Las Cruces in the distance which is enhanced by the beautiful sunsets in the canyon. There were lots of reviews about how awful the road is but we made it all the way through with our minivan so not to worry if you don’t have a high clearance vehicle. The road is pretty close but it wasn’t a bother. My only downfall to this is the lack of privacy but it’s camping in the desert so that’s to be expected.
