Camping is free with a Discovery Pass which can be purchased online. Though, no one ever came by to check. Limited cell service, no internet.

We have the pass, so we got to stay here without further trouble. Otherwise you pay at the drop box.
We parked in site number 2 - it was fairly leveled and plenty of space to turn around.
Anything bigger than 20 feet is going to have some trouble. Scout ahead.
We had the river access right there next to us and it was perfect.
Would def stay here again!

Incredible riverside spots, but very few. Some could handle larger rigs/trailers. Vault toilet, a path down to the river, deep blue/green river right next to you. I had 17MB 4G T Mobile throughout the grounds.

CAMPED HERE SEPT 2-8 2020. We stayed in the BEST spot in this campground. Site #4 is a pull through that is VERY large with a picnic table and an extra area for a tent. To stay in this campground for free you must buy an Annual Washington Discover Pass which is $30. You can purchase the Discover Pass in Forks at the Outfitters (Thriftway) store! No hookups and there is a vault toilet directly across from this site. Campground is right next to HWY 101 so it is noisy during the day and since its a very popular campground/area people drive through frequently. There is access to the river down by the boat ramp at the end of the campground loop. Site is very shaded so solar isn't usable, we had to run our generator in the evening for an hour or two. BE AWARE about getting into this campground from the north. As you are driving from Forks south, HWY 101 curves and is going down hill right before the entrance of the campground which is on the left. It is a sharp turn into the campground entrance so just be careful if you are driving a large rig.

It’s very shaded here so if you rely on solar like myself, 1-2 days is all I can stay. There’s only a vault toilet which was meh. Wasn’t stocked with TP so kept supplying my own which I’m okay with. Other campers decided to leave their trash thrown in the bathroom corners or around the bathroom, which isn’t cool. Arrived Sunday evening and there was 1 spot left. By Monday, 5 spots were open. It’s free as long as you have a discovery pass. Several people came by daily to fish along the river. Had good ATT service, enough to work remotely. Would stay again but hope people start taking responsibility of their trash and pack it out!

Great free camping location! We had a lot of troubles finding free sites around the peninsula so this was a nice reprieve. Cell coverage (AT&T) was strong enough to work from. Only note is that the tree coverage was too dense for solar. 20 minutes from Forks for gas and groceries.

Free with a Discover Pass. Right off Highway 101 and conveniently 15 minutes away from Forks. The turn off is abrupt coming out of a blind corner if heading south on 101. The campground itself was quite picturesque, our site had great views of the river and lots of tree cover. Someone had nailed into the trees which was useful in setting up our tarps as rain covers. Plenty of space and privacy between sites. The bathroom was adequate and smelled slightly but can't complain too much when the site is essentially free. TP was also well stocked. Heavy rains caused the river to turn from clear blue to a heavy torrent of brown, which was fairly exciting. Great base point for exploring the Hoh rainforest, La Push, And Ozette areas of Olympic NP.

This campground is small with only 9 sites, but it is a great location near the Hoh Rain Forest and it is free! Easy short access from Hwy. 101 15 miles south of Forks, WA. Must have a Dept. of Natural Resources "Discovery Pass" which can be purchased where fishing licenses are sold. First come, first served and there is a 7 day max. stay. Some sites suitable for big rigs, one with a pull thru access, and others well suited for tents. Most are on the Hoh River which is glacier fed in warm dry months from Mt. Olympus. Sites include fire ring and picnic table. Verizon 4G LTE 1 to 2 bars and 4 bars with Weboost RV65. Wonderful campground!
