"Decent campground on the lake"

The campground was a mixture of permanent seasonal & daily rentals right on the lake. The campsites were big by RV park standards. Very shady. Many of the seasonal permanent residents were poorly cared for & made the park look a bit shabby.... Read more

"Noisy trains, big rigs, winds "

I’m not sure about all the 5 star ratings… the train is very close to the campground, blowing the horn 3 times at midnight, 1:30am & 5:30am. Woke us up each time. Then bigs on the highway woke us up speeding by in the night too. Not a restful spot... Read more

"Great parking lot camping"

As others have said, very accommodating, filled out paperwork, was told to park anywhere we wanted. There were a few big rig trucks & a couple class As. We parked to the far left of the lot. Lots of space & quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.

"Gorgeous views"

We were amazed at how beautiful this location is and it’s free! It was very hot in July so be warned! You can see Monument Valley in the distance and it’s not a far drive to go visit.
