Originally intended just as a convenient overnight stop off of I-10, we were so charmed with this place that we decided to stay for two extra nights in order to enjoy the area. “Amazing!!!”

Reviewed Mar 16, 2017

We stayed here from 3/10-3/12/17. Many people said that this site wasn't great for larger RVs, but we had a great time with a 36' Fleetwood Terra. It is a very narrow cattle guard and fence to get in, with a sharp right turn, but we were able to make it with our coach and tow vehicle (2006 Honda Odyssey) after dark. I would recommend ... more

“Great Boondocking with Rocks to Explore!”

Reviewed Mar 15, 2017

We stayed here for a week in late February and now consider this place one of our top 10 boondocking spots. We stayed in some of the 'lower' sites, which are among the dirt roads on the left before you get to the gate and bathrooms. We had some neighbors, both cows and humans, but all were very welcoming. We were looking for a free, BLM site while traveling west on I-10 in Arizona and this place definitely fit the bill. We stayed for 5 nights and only left the site once - to visit Fort Bowie National Historic Site (which I highly recommend!). The weather was ideal when we were here in February 2017. The location is beautiful, with stunning rock formations, but for a 30' rv, there are only 2 accessible sites when you first enter over the narrow cattle guard, make a tight 90° turn to the right and over a deep trench. You then drive by 2 sites on the left, directly off the road. Past those 2 sites, the soft sandy road narrows consid... more

Indian Bread Rocks is the ideal boondocking location for us. It has beautiful scenery, easy access to hiking and peace & quiet. AT&T and Verizon work great.
