A lot of people still parked here even though high clearance recommended. I scraped my bike rack on way in, thinking I could make it if I go slow. Still, not sure it’s as bad anymore as last update. Uploaded pics with date stamps so everyone can see. Gorgeous landscape😍

The road to the site is good, but at the last cattle guard is washed out a bit and requires a high clearance rig that can turn tightly to get in. Going up the hill affords some nice spots to back in and overlook the Bowie valley, but it's a bit sandy so requires 4wd for traction to get in/out.

There were only three other campres there, so lots of sites available.
We did lots of hikes in hte rocks and tried to steer clear of the cows!

There is significant road damage along the route and at this time only high clearance is recommended.
If you have a larger rig I recommended scouting the route first

About a 3-mile dirt road in, pretty wide, some washboard, but not too bad. The scenery in the area is spectacular. Plenty of hiking available. There's picnic tables and grills in a common area, plus a vault toilet. Was pretty quiet while I was there, though there were several other campers.
Verizon good.
AT&T good.

Views are great, but there really is limited spots for anyone with a trailer near the cliffs. I counted 8 spots that would fit a trailer past the picnic area. Roads are getting a little washed out so can be a bit bumpy.
Otherwise a great area to explore for a few days. Oh yea LOTS of cow patties!

Had Seen Several Reviews On YouTube About This Area. Wasn’t Disappointed, Stayed For 3 Days. Dispersed Camping Throughout The Area. During The Week I Found A Spot Easily. Was Pretty Quiet During My Stay Though Others Were Also Camping. My Full Size Van Pulling A 10’ Trailer Had No Problem On The Park Roads. Was Concerned About Being Able To Turn Around But Was Doable. I’m Self Contained So I Can’t Comment On The Vault Toilet. If You’re Camped Farther In It Would Be A Hike To Get To It. Cell Service Was Available. Nice Desert Campground, Can’t Beat The Price!

A few miles off I-10, a quiet place to stop or stay a couple days. There’s a vault toilet. Cattle graze in the campground. Not sure big rigs can fit in the sites and the dirt road coming in is bumpy. One other camper was here while I was here.
