It's free.
Very clean vault restroom.
No water, but the highway rest area is a couple of miles away.
Glass creek runs through the campground. So many rainbow trout can be found there. Bring the fishing pole.

If you like dry camping/Boondocking in close quarters then this is the campground for you. Yes they have fire pits, yes they have picnic tables, yes they have vault toilets but every campsite is full, lots of people, lots of vehicles, lots of atv’s and lots of noise. We spent one nights in July and said never again.

There is a 21 day stay limit, but people ignore it. They park their rigs up there for the entire summer and visit them whenever they feel like it. Others live there full time for months until it closes for the winter. Ordinary people on vacation don't have a prayer. It is outrageous that the Forest Service has allowed this to happen!

Great place for big rigs, both tall and long. Many sites could accommodate 2 or 3 rigs. Only one section had low hanging branches if your rig is tall. That section is near site 37 on the outside perimeter. If you enter at the first entrance on your right, go left right before or right after site 40. If you continue straight the road loops left past site 37 you will see those low branches.
If you take the second right entrance you will see the two group areas. Straight leads you to back in sites kind of near the creek. Turn left and go over the creek for more sites. These seemed more dusty due to OHV trails.
Great area for accessing off-road trails. There was not a camp host and very few rules posted (quiet hours and camp in designated sites) but all campers in our vicinity were quiet. We had a great FREE experience here!

We stayed on the south side of the campground and the sites there are backed up to beautiful woods, and not super close to the others. If you’re looking for more quiet, go over the bridge to these sites. Had pit toilets and fire rings. Lots of beautiful obsidian stones everywhere. We also took a hike that started at the dead end on the most western end of the campground. It follows the creek up.. we didn’t finish it cause it was getting dark and didn’t want to risk bears but it seemed like you could go pretty far! Loved this site so much!

Very nice wooded forest service campground. Tons of level sites with hardly anyone around. No water or garbage but very clean pit toilet bathrooms. Gentle running creek on west end. Only a mile off 395 but no road noise. Road in was a bit lumpy but no problem for our 27' itasca class A.
