“Great Dispersed BLM Camping Along I-10”

Reviewed Aug 27, 2018

Overall Rating

I have stayed at Saddle Mountain several times in recent years. The site is a short drive from I-10 in Tonopah so it is a convenient "in-between spot" when travel to or from Quartzsite and Ehrenberg. This location is now a regular part of our seasonal travel circuit. The mountains here are pretty, and the volcanic soil is fertile en... more

“Great cell coverage, views and space!”

Reviewed Jul 25, 2018

Stayed here in January on way to Quartzsite and it was a great stop! Came in from Tonopah and could see a few RVs off to the left (south). The first obvious entrance had a few RVs and didn't want to haul the 36 foot Class A in there without knowing spot availability so continued on a bit and found several other dirt roads with plenty o... more

“Another great Campendium location”

Reviewed May 14, 2018

Overall Rating

This was my first visit to Saddle Mountain BLM and the information in all of the great Campendium reviews was very helpful so I'll try not to repeat that information. As someone mentioned, going in from Tonopah is the best route, it's paved all the way to the camping area. I checked out most of the dirt roads into the area and the one... more

“Perfect first time boondocking”

Reviewed Apr 10, 2018

Overall Rating

Dispersed is the word. Wide open desert at the base of saddle mountain. Our 33’ MH (with toad) made it through the rough road threading between large wild plant life acquiring a few desert pinstripes and we found the perfect site with fire pit, views for miles and little to no passer-by traffic. Huge site. Could have been used for ... more

“Beautiful spot”

Reviewed Apr 02, 2018

Gorgeous spots right at the foot of the mountain. Very little traffic. There were two other rigs but quite a distance away from us. I would definitely come back!! P.S. If you don't feel like camp grub one night, on the way in is a tiny little Mexican/American restaurant called Oscar's. It is worth the visit!! Great food, friendly folks... more

“Plenty of room for everyone!”

Reviewed Mar 29, 2018

We read all the other reviews and came in off of Courthouse Rd. around mile marker 13. The dirt road was good at first, but quickly got very rough and rocky. We stopped to scout on foot after going in about a half mile and found a nice big spot just a little farther on with no one else close by. This was great boondocking - quiet, ple... more

“Great place to Boondock”

Reviewed Feb 23, 2018

We met up with friends here and enjoyed a week of boondocking. Great place to hike around. Lots of trails for 4x4 and mountain biking. Note: If you are coming from the West Google Maps and GPS might tell you to get off at the Salome Highway exit. Don't do it! It's a dirt road until you get to Courthouse Road.
