"A woodsy feel while still close to Flagstaff - if that's important"

It's an ok park that's kind of old and tired. Not very level with gravel and dirt surfaces. The hook ups are oddly located. Fortunately we carry extra sewer hose for such locations. Nice folks with a decent kitchen... sandwiches and breakfast... Read more

"One of the best Forest Service campgrounds we have run accross"

What impressed us most was the open and spacious nature of this campground. 100 feet to the next camper on one side and a little less on the other. Very clean with asphalt pads (ours was level) and concrete walkways and pads around the picnic... Read more

"Best for an overnight stop along I-5"

This park, while next to the Kalama River, is also close to I-5. We backed in right next to the river farthest away from the interstate which we recommend. There's electric and water but no sewer. We were visiting friends or we wouldn't have... Read more

"Clean and quiet but a little cozy"

This is an OK place made better by the friendly and helpful staff. You even get free homemade cookies upon checking in. It was a convenient stop away from major populations after touring the Olympic peninsula. The only real downside is that... Read more

"Convenient location"

We were having problems finding a place to stay during the peak of summer and this place was available. The staff was really nice and despite being close to 101 it was fairly quiet. We use a cell booster.

"A great stopover traveling along I-5 with lots of trees."

This place is more like camping in a forest than an RV park. In July it was busy and we had to stay in a site w/o sewer which is no big deal because we were only there two nights. Besides the sites w/o sewer hookups are quieter and more to the... Read more

"Great stay for this time of year"

We booked a week here near the end of March 2017. We travel to places like this off season and get the benefits of uncrowded conditions. There is no rig within 100 feet of us. It is quiet and a great location for us to enjoy exploring the... Read more

"An out of the way oasis with a warm spring pool"

This park is near the Eastern entrance to Death Valley. Surprisingly there is a lot to do and see at this older facility, sill owned by the family that built the town 100 years ago. We stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend and the... Read more

"A beautiful (Free) spot near Barstow"

This BLM campground is ringed with stunning jagged hills, hence the name "Sawtooth". You can hike to the top or do some climbing if that's your preference. We talked to some folks who were hiking up to meditate. Just a quiet spot with something... Read more

"A good location but the facility needs upkeep."

We stayed right next to Lake Havasu which was the best part of the experience as we wanted to stand up paddle. However if you are near the water you cannot have a sewer hook up. So you must drive to the dump or pay 10 bucks to be pumped. I... Read more
