"Not A Destination"

This place is good for a day, but that’s about it. The road next to the camping area is surprisingly busy, there is also a train nearby that is pretty loud. Maybe the other reviewers had boosters because I only had one bar of Verizon service that... Read more

"Small And Tight For Up To $28"

This campground is small and tight with about 4 campsites. It’s $18 a night for non MT residents, plus a new Conservation License that’s $10 for non MT residents that you can get online. The sites are pretty small and not for much bigger than my... Read more

"Free Dump But No Fresh Water"

The dump is free and easy to get to, but there is no water, fresh or rinse, at the sewer dump. They also have full hookup spots for camping, but I didn’t ask about any of that.

"Clean, Affordable, And On The Oregon Trail"

We stayed two weeks at this park and will come back. It is an affordable, well kept park with a good shower house, playground and walking paths. It is right next to Fort Caspar, which means you are probably camping right where Oregon Trail... Read more

"Parking Area in a Lovely Town"

We stopped for a night while passing through, and it was a good stop. We parked in the back behind the mercantile. There was one other RV and a big rig, but it was dead quiet after dark. There are a few good restaurants in town and the mercantile... Read more

"Mosquitos"

The area is beautiful and there are lots of areas to camp, but the mosquitos are the worst I’ve seen in awhile. You aren’t able to do anything outside without losing a pint of blood. There looks to be lots of trails for dirt bikes and ATV’s, but... Read more

"Crowded "

This site is conveniently close to Leadville, but very crowded. It was more of a “weekend at the lake” experience than a peaceful wilderness experience. I had one or two bars of Verizon, but data was unusable except in the very early morning. One... Read more

"Amazing Views"

There are a few large spots near the edge of the canyon with amazing views. As previously mentioned, you cannot access from the east where the bridge is. The road from the west is a bit bumpy, but there were no large ruts or anything like that. 4... Read more
