We didn’t have the same luck finding Verizon LTE here as others. Their was a bar or two but really slow and unreliable. I think you need a quality booster to make this place work.
Arriving in the daylight is really helpful here as it can be hard to navigate finding your perfect spot.

The weather was beautiful and the water was cold but still fun!
Groceries were 20 min away in Overton; and free potable water and a dump station is in the Valley of Fire campground 25 minutes away. The area was clean and there were vault toilets super close (although we didn’t use them). We found quite a few level spots straight towards the water from the vault toilets. Lots of awesome options - we will definitely stay again!

I think that anyone who has given negative reviews about this spot is just trying to keep it a secret! We landed a waterfront spot with no trouble and had very few, distant neighbors. There is enough room to spread out, and we had absolutely no trouble with our 43 foot rig. The entrance is about 2 miles of dirt road, but I didn’t think it was too bad. Take time to scout out the right spot for you. We were high on a cliff from the water, although our Lab made her way down for swims. We saw several tent and van campers who set up lower to the water, so it is possible. Sites and area were very clean. Cell service seemed better in some areas than others, so keep an eye on that when picking your site, if that’s important to you. Keep you eyes out for donkeys.....there are a bunch. Happily, their $%!& doesn’t stink, because it’s everywhere. ATVs and OHVs are allowed, but not many people had them out.
Water and laundry is available at the Echo Valley RV Park, about 7 miles up the road. Water is available also at Valley of Fire State Park. We also found a laundromat, grocery store, etc. in Overton, about 15 miles away. The best part about this location is the proximity to Valley of Fire State Park.....about 10 minutes away. We visited several times during our stay.
Hard to leave this site.

This is a great spot if you don't mind boondocking and can't get into the Valley of Fire campgrounds (Atlatl Rock or Arch Rock campground). Just keep going east out to Lake Mead entrance on Hwy 167 and head south. There is a sign for Stewarts Point on your left about 6 miles past the entrance. We camped 3 days. As others have reviewed, the road can be rough but we made it easily with our 32ft Class A. Just take it slow. Saw many large Class A and TTs. Very large area with many spots to choose from, very spread out. Strongly suggest you unhook at the pit toilet, drive your tow car and check out a spot you can drive to with your rig. We found a spot/overlook right next to the lake. Existing fire pits everywhere. Lots of room for the dogs. Several places to go fishing (Stripers/Catfish) or launch your kayak. Otherwise just a peaceful view of the lake, nighttime stars, short walks or ride your bike. We had clear skies and the moon lit up the area. We heard that it can be windy but there was no wind the first 2 days. Check the forecast before you come out. Not bad cell service. There are some burros roaming around so you have their "gifts" to deal with but not too bad. There is no dump or water but you can go south to Echo Bay campground or back to Valley of Fire and use the dump and water for free.

As previous reviews suggest near water sites are better for the tent campers. Highly recommend the new to dry camping check their clearance on their trailers, watched someone almost rip the sewer and everything off when he bottomed out trying to come out witb trailer down by the water. Also check tongue weight, another way to really screw up your vehicle and trailer. Roads are extremely rough in spots just as mentioned in other reviews as well, and a lot are deep super fine powdery dust, easy to get stuck in if not careful. The views and spots on top of the mesa can give you a great view of Mead, just don't expect easy access to or in the water. Spots we tried to enter with our dog were like quicksand, stick to you forever, serious mud...the kind that sucks you in. That's after maneuvering past all of the tumble weed thorns....our dog was not a fan of this place. The pit toilets are by the entrance to the area and guaranteed not to many people will travel all the way back to use. PLEASE PLEASE people that are dry camping learn to properly dispose of your human waste...everywhere we have dry camped lately has been toilet paper and poop, disgusting to say the least and a health hazard.

We spent 1 night here with our group of 2 x 25ft RV's. There are plenty of easy sites no matter the vehicle. The best sites close to the water were very rutted so we didn't want to risk it. There is a pit toilet near the camp sites.
