I loved this spot! The road in was rutted, but anyone can make it down there...just go slowly. Once in, you can get as close to the lake as you feel comfortable with. I had a wheel out of alignment and was on my way to get it repaired, so I stayed up on the ridg a bit. Some cars and vans were right on the water's edge. Some off-roaders, but for the most part it was quiet and everyone was very spaced out. No matter where you park it is an easy walk down to the water's edge. The view is spectacular, the sunsets/sunrises were amazing and I'd have stayed a week except I had an appointment to get my wheel fixed.
Verizon Cell service was good. Easy to watch YouTube and send photos by email.

Lots of room between campsites. Very relaxing and quiet. A bit windy but beautiful view of the lake and valley.

The road in is a little bumpy but not bad. Plenty of space for large rigs up top vs going down to water.
Views are amazing
Vault toilets at entrance and no trash cans.
Saw several burros.

LOTS of open space to spread out. The closer you try and get to the water the more you're going to need high clearance and 4x4. Unfortunately for our time here it was very windy, over 30 mph for every day we stayed. Cell service depends on where you decide to setup camp. Some spots, absolutely nothing, other spots great service.

Great camping overlooking Lake Mead. Suggest going as far back as possible as the sites are less crowded. We were able to park right on the point of an isolated ridge overlooking the lake. Roads can get very sandy or have a ton of loose gravel

We didn’t have the same luck finding Verizon LTE here as others. Their was a bar or two but really slow and unreliable. I think you need a quality booster to make this place work.
Arriving in the daylight is really helpful here as it can be hard to navigate finding your perfect spot.

The weather was beautiful and the water was cold but still fun!
Groceries were 20 min away in Overton; and free potable water and a dump station is in the Valley of Fire campground 25 minutes away. The area was clean and there were vault toilets super close (although we didn’t use them). We found quite a few level spots straight towards the water from the vault toilets. Lots of awesome options - we will definitely stay again!
