Anyone know where you can get rid of trash (maybe somewhere in Wickenburg)?

This is our second review of this camping area, just about a year apart. Road in is still rutted and rough, but we managed with our low clearance Airstream several times now, so it is doable in almost all rigs. After wintering in Baja this year our definition of "rough" road has changed dramatically :) so this was pretty easy by that standard.
We did not encounter near as much trash as previous reviewers did, but that group of people camping there when we were there had organized several community trash pickup days. Much thanks to them!
We loved being close to Wickenberg for supply runs, propane at Tractor Supply, and the min mart has a dump station ($15) that also has potable city water for free if you pay for the dump. If you just want the water is .15 per gallon.
Lots of spots to camp at, and while there are some people that are living there more permanently than others, we had no issues exploring the area and leaving our campsite unattended.
If you're into hiking and learning, we highly recommend taking the 30-minute drive to the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Start Park. It's a very humbling experience to learn about the lives of the 19 wildland firefighters lost in the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013.
Please do your part to support the Arizona State Trust Lands by purchasing the permit $21 for the year to keep places like this open for RV use.

Very very badly rutted. Several apparently long term campers. Some areas of large item trash. Still, beautiful scenery. Will return if passing thru the area again and no other options.

Been here several times over the past four years. Good access off of a paved highway but very bumpy and rocky. Still, go slow. I have seen it almost empty as well as very crowded. This time I got a nice spot with no close neighbors. Access to Wickenburg is about ten minutes and a good town to get almost anything you want. Lots of hiking but no discernible trails. Just bushwacking. Vulture Peak us not far away and apparently has a trail to the top. Cleanliness is fair but as always there are a few assholes who don't understand trash in/trash out. This is State Trust Land and as such requires a permit but I haver seen it enforced.

Pros:
Vulture Peak is conveniently located near Wickenburg and therefore the access to all the resources there are nice.
The Verizon cell tower is right across the street and speeds are great.
Plenty of room and most areas are easy to level in.
Negatives
I have never seen so much trash in a dispersed area and we boondock 95% of the time. Broken glass, straws, tires, nails, cigarette butts and boxes, diapers and more. Some people are absolutely disgusting.
Most of the sites are all clustered together in one area so if you are looking for remote privacy you have trouble here.
Entry into the large area is tricky. We recommend you watch the campsite review video we did showing exactly how to access it so that you don't have to try and back up because you missed the "driveway".

Road into the camping area was pretty rough, rutted and rocky, but slow still got us in our low clearance Airstream. Lots of available spaces to spread out, relax and enjoy awesome sunsets.
The only issue with noise was our neighbors but that happens. Road traffic isn't bad and Wickenburg is a very cute small town to hangout in for a bit.

So it's the best of both worlds. Out in the country but not far from services. Oh, and there's a cell tower right there so my T-Mobile hotspot worked like a charm!
It was a bit rough the first piece of dirt road, but I made it just going slow pulling a 35' fifth wheel. There is a big spot just off the paved road and some other s about a mile back on the dirt road, which looks to be much smoother than the first bit. (We walked it.)
Also the old town of Wickenburg is very cool. Nice old Western feel. Several quaint shops and watering holes. You can tell how much of a cow town it is as every bar had the Cowboy Channel on. (I nen=had never even heard of the Cowboy Channel !) But that was all part of the charm.

We stayed here because it was near Phoenix but we found it's a wonderful spot and town in its own right. I highly recommend driving in a mile or so, there was a lot of people scattered right at the road, but in a little on the dirt road there are plenty of spaces and beautiful views. The people that were camping around us were super friendly and we made some great new friends. We all agreed, you need to get in away from the road.
The road is pretty bumpy at first but smooths out after about the first 500-700 feet. There is some deep sand that we almost got stuck in but if you stay in the middle of the road you'll be fine.
There was significantly more traffic from side-by-sides and ATVs on the weekends but it was peaceful and quiet during the week.

No one checked ours, which you can get on line for $20.00 for an annual pass.

whats not to like? only mins from town, this location can fit any size rig (might want to go slow on entry due to rough road). its right next to a big cell tower for verizon. AT&T signal was good, but my data flaky. does require AZ land permit $15
