My friend and i stayed here from 6/15-6/18 and had such a good time. the water is so clear and lovely to swim in. we both brought our dogs and they had a wonderful time as well. the campsites themselves are a bit small and close together but that isn't something that bothers me. the people on either side of us were very nice so it wasn't an issue at all. the campsites are stumbling distance from the water so that is a huge plus for me. my only complaint is that mid day the campsite had full sun and it was SO HOT. by around 4-5pm the sun was behind the trees and we had shade again. there is also a little store about 10 minutes away from the campground that has groceries and other supplies if you need it. we spent our days hiking in the morning and swimming in the afternoon when it was really hot. overall it was a great little campground and i would totally camp there again.
avery luttropp would stay here again

We were very lucky to roll into this small campground without a reservation and still find spots available midweek at around 1 pm. Several sites are small and these spots did not seem to have level ground for tents. Our van was parked in a level spot so easy peasy for us. The sites are pretty much on top of each other, so we were lucky to have cool neighbors. The Ice House Reservoir was cold but very nice right next to the campground. Plenty of beach sites around to access along the shore. There are powerboats allowed on the water and some people were partying on the beach during the daylight hours. We had nice hikes, canoed at sunset and the views were great all day. I was surprised with ATT cell coverage and was able to do a Zoom call for a planned family event.

A short walk to the water on either side of the site. Restrooms were as clean as they could be for a campground. It was great having a fire pit ring and a BBQ. Also the bear locker was perfect size to fit out cooler and all our food. Easy to get in and out of.

I am sitting in a campsite that has 5 campsites in a row. Total width of the row is no more than 500 feet. Thus, the width of the campsites in this portion of the tiny campground is about 100 feet each. There is little more room on the other side. All of these campsites are awfully close also. Maybe city people don't mind, but I d... more
