The other reviewer summer it up well. The dump cover is unlatched by swiping your credit card for $10. Very easy access, though it was a little scary with all the yellowjackets (I think that's what they were anyway) around drinking the water. The other reviewer summer it up well. The dump cover is unlatched by swiping your credit card for $10. Very easy access, though it was a little scary with all the yellowjackets (I think that's what they were anyway) around drinking the water. They weren't aggressive, but they were all around us the whole time.
Free potable water is on your way out of the dump loop. We came and got water several times while boondocking just up the street at Fourmile Flat Quarry.

Dump station is separate from the campgrounds in the area (it's stand alone). It was open when I was there (early October) while the public campgrounds had closed for the season. $10 to dump. Dump station is separate from the campgrounds in the area (it's stand alone). It was open when I was there (early October) while the public campgrounds had closed for the season. $10 to dump. Potable water spigot near main road as you turn down to go to the dump station. No charge for the water.
I'm not certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if the dump station closes when the hard freezes hit. There is a gate that can close off the access road. So don't be shocked if you arrive in the dead of winter and it's closed.
