We drove around the area to find our next spot and came across this area. We ended up going up the road to Eagle Creek Rd. I like the tress more.
You will drive through a neighborhood and then come to an open area that leads you into the NF area. There are two sites along this road that seem really nice, one about a mile (past the trailhead split) in with a very flat site along creek (no trees at all though) and then one past the small lake up on the hill. Road conditions are pretty good. Large trailers over 25ft I wouldn't suggest going past lake area.
There are so many spots in the area that are beautiful I think I would save this as a last option.
There is a lot of traffic since the small lake is down the way along with a hiking trail head.

You drive through a residential neighborhood on paved road and then get to an unpaved, but not unpleasant road. For how long the road is, there are not a huge amount of sites. There were multiple small meadows that could fit multiple RVs, however rigs and cars blocked them off so no one could share.
Our site was right after the first turn off by the creek. We stayed to the left and it was right on the saddle between mountains. We only saw two cars the 24 hours that we were there. We also had 4 bars of Verizon and 3 bars of ATT. I was very surprised considering how remote we were.
It would be a bit harder for larger rigs to get past where we stayed. We are in 24 feet and estimated that 30 feet would be large for the spot. The road narrows the further you go.
Like others said, it is about ten minutes to Ketchum and Sun Valley. Don’t miss Stanley either if you are in the area.
TL,DR: This place is like heaven if you are in a smaller rig. If you are larger, stick to the spots up front. Good cell reception, close to town, and right in nature.

Great Verizon coverage, at least with my Weboost, but you drive through a neighborhood to get to it, so I have a feeling it's probably good even without the Weboost. Fantastic privacy, everything is spaced very far apart. There were tenters camped right on the creek. Have been there twice now. Awesome. I made a brief YouTube video of it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wiEA3QZkUZQ

Did you read the title? This place is pretty heavenly as far as looks, amenities in town, and the condition of the road. Here you can stream all the videos you want on Verizon or ATT. It's a long road in- I believe it goes about 6 or more miles, with the most user-friendly spots earlier in the ride- before the lake that you come to on the right. The lake allows fishing, is totally clear, and has bathrooms but no running water.
The scenery is gorgeous. Lake Creek Road is a valley, and so you are surrounded by mountains to the east and the west. Solar- you won't get a 'real' full day of sun because of this. there's a creek that runs from the lake on the right side of the road as you go in. one spot is right on the creek and you will have a great white noise spot there if you want.
I stayed JUST past the lake in a spot overlooking the lake with my 24' travel trailer. I wouldn't advise anyone trying to park there with anything much longer than that. A 30' motorhome might be able to make it in. The road gets more skittish after that, but again, a 30' might fit into the one or two spots that are past the lake. Scout if in doubt. (I would be in doubt)
Arnold Schwarzenegger lives on the road coming into Lake Creek- just a fun fact.
Ketchum is a cute little town. It's very small, but it is friendly, has a great grocery, they do a farmers market during the summer in the middle of town, and if you go at the right time, you can catch their 'Wagon Days' parade, the largest non-motorized parade in the country. It was fun!
The road is great, you can fly down it but slow down when passing a campsite- it's pretty dusty. You may have a sheep adventure if they are herding through the area in the late summer.
I love this place. As Arnold would say, 'I'll be back'. (It was too easy...)

While there was one pull off right by the entrance, you probably wouldn't want to camp there because you are basically next to someone's backyard. A pretty valley with a creek just a short walk from most of the spots that I saw. Firepit
The drive back isn't to tough but the turns into the flat camping areas have quite large ditches so just be careful and make sure you have clearance.

There is a pond 1 mile from our spot where the girls (our 2 doggies) and I walk almost every day; with ducks and small ground chippers. The Internet Access is good with streaming and phone service. Services seams to get better as you go further down the road.
The area is for 16 days free dry camping in a very beautiful area. We (Sweet and Sixx of Wild Pack) stops to hang out in Ketchum Idaho for a Blues Against Hunger Blues Jam food drive at Sun Valley Brewery in Hailey ID on Sept. 8 and relaxing at Lake Creek Rd. Camping area. See our video about camping at Lake Creek Rd: http://www.wildpackband.com/2017/08/wild-pack-on-road-in-ketchum.html.
The road is a bumpy gravel road, but almost any rig can drive through; we have not driven past the pond. The road goes up and over looks the area with more camping past that point.
We would stay again - FYI 5-6 miles North of the Lake Creek Road turn is a dump station at the Sawtooth Ranger Station with GOOD drinking water and more camping.

We went in about 3 miles and stayed in a 16-day limit site. The grass was flattened, the site was spacious and level, and we had fast internet (Verizon was great and I think AT&T was pretty solid too).
It's basically one lane of travel but there are a number of places someone can pull over to let you pass -- we do recommended scouting with your toad before going in if possible, as turning around might not be the easiest.
The views are gorgeous, there's a stream nearby gurgling you to sleep, great stars, super quiet, and just about 10-15 minutes into Ketchum.
Endless hiking options in the area. Our favorite was the Norton Lakes hike.

This was a great spot to stop and stay for 2 nights. Note: Sign posting length of stay now limits any campers to 3 nights. It was very peaceful with a little traffic down the dirt road adjacent due to it being summer and a nice weekend. We just pulled further off the road and put the back of our rig to the road so weren't disturbed at all. Plus then we got a great view of the river that runs just below the meadow. We were able to use our jeep for a quick trip into Ketchum for breakfast and laundry. Would highly recommend this as an easy boondocking site.
