Just a bit outside of Ketchum, we were able to drive our 24 foot motor home in on a well maintained gravel road. We went in about 3 miles to site 11. Beautiful wildflowers, quiet, lovely. We were under 3 miles to the Hot Springs which we checked out in the morning.

Once you pass through all the multi-million dollar houses the asphalt ends and the free camping begins. You can save yourself the extra driving around and pick that first spot n the left about a quarter mile down the road. It is the best and largest one. The others are OK, but are smaller (great for tents) and can be rough to get too. ... more
