We had planned to stay here and we’re looking forward to it. It was not too crowded when we arrived but there was so much trash and questionable looking “residents” that we decided to move on down the road.

We moved here from the BLM area south of town. We liked the scenery but we found that the area was really crowded and not necessarily with the most classy folks. There was a mix of people staying here, some were here to party, others were just here so they could get into town. In general we found this area to be more scenic than the BLM area but much, much noisier. Some people ran generators all day and night and others were partying and listening to loud music until midnight. With all that said, the area itself was awesome and we'd at least scope it out again if we were in town to see what the vibe from the neighbors feels like.
Access was easy for our 39' fifth wheel and the road was easy to navigate. There are some sandy areas that should be avoided but aren't major concerns. We had cell coverage at the road but not in where we were camping.

I'm so glad I scouted this place before hauling my rig up there. It's bad. An obvious lack of enforcement. Strick enforcement of the 14 day rule with trash tickets would maybe do the job. But honestly, it's beyond that and needs to be closed and gated. I wish it was safe enough to stop and take pictures...

We stopped here planning to stay in the area for a few days. Getting to the dispersed camping area was trying. The road is horrible getting to the camping area and even worse beyond that. There are many signs that telling you 1 mile to camping area, 1/2 mile to camping area, not that anyone was paying much attention to them. There were many campers before the designated camping areas. We drove well passed that area and there was no place to reasonably camp at after 3 miles into camping area. We finally found a place, what I would say was crowding other campers, but maybe not for this area. There is poor cell service (Verison) and most of the time no service. We pulled in right at dark. The next morning campers were up at around 7 - 7:30 and there wasn’t much sleeping past that time. We packed up and left about 8:30 am to find a better place. It was ok I guess for a quick overnight, but since we didn’t have to stay in the area we opted to move on. Quartzsite was much friendlier and the blm roads to dispersed camping there are rough but not as much as here.

It’s tough to find a tree without a bunch of garbage collected under it and a few sites have large piles of garbage (one with mattresses!). This was a lovely spot five years ago but has really gone downhill. Some dogs are left loose and there is dog crap everywhere. One neighboring camper watched his dog run over and poop right behind our trailer and he did nothing. Despite the 14-day rule and the presence of a host, a number of sites look like long-stayers with stuff piled everywhere— pallets, tires, etc. And if you don’t like listening to a choir of generators, don’t camp here. It’s really a shame because it was such a great place, but we won’t be back.

Because of the “coves,” you can easily find a spot where it feels way less busy than what it really is. The road in is pretty easy, navigable by most vehicles, just a few rocks or dips here and there. We were here on the third weekend in February, which I’m told happens to be a busy time in the Lake Havasu City area. I can believe that. All the BLM sites are pretty packed. It has decent Verizon service depending on your spot. We fluctuated between 1 and 3 bars and fluctuated from LTE to 5G UW. Basically zero TMobile signal though Overall it’s pretty good. Definitely more secluded feeling than Craggy Wash and Lake Havasu BLM.

The ranger does enforce the 14 day rule. They booted a lot of illegal campers out while I was here...things are strictly enforced and people ticketed.
The generator noise is simply non stop from 7am to 9pm regardless of where you are. And it feels crowded and cramped...people pull in RIGHT BESIDE you.
Excellent ATT!
Excellent digital tv reception. I'm getting about 25 English channels. Tower is literally at the campground entrance.
Lots and lots of off roaders rolling through non stop as well.
All that's missing is a train blowing it's horn!!

Doing a little work on the rig, stayed up top for about a week and then down just above the parking lot. This time of year not as crowded but still a little bit .... ah..... loose. Today the Camp Host came around, day one, and issued everyone a 14 day window pass to 11/20 - the clock is ticking and I think...... hmmmm.... permissiveness may have reached its natural conclusion. Hate to think it but it wouldn't be that hard to close this place off if the garbage and other, well, activities continue. Down the road a bit someone had been enjoying the pleasures of free camping here the Craggy Wash and were nice enough to leave their a pile of neatly bagged trash, suppose I should be less critical because they at least tried to make it easier for some else to clean up after them. The washboarding up towards the top at the "Y" in the road painted rock seem deep and loser than 6 months ago. AT&T has a good signal down low, not so much up high.

We have camped in Craggy Wash for about 7 seasons now & have always enjoyed our visit. However, on Christmas day 2016 as we were attempting to enter Craggy Wash, we encountered a new, white haired old woman camp host with an overzealous attitude who refused our admission because she thought that she had seen us camped at another nearby BLM campground recently. She also wrongly accused us of not picking up after our dogs. All these years we have always made a point to pick up after our dogs!
Therefore, I believe there needs to be a rating for camp host attitude which would perhaps eliminate people with this gestapo type attitude from having any authority over OUR PUBLIC LANDS.
It appears there are postings on this website by the camp host to be the same person & attitude that we encountered and if so, I sincerely hope for the sake of future campers enjoyment, she reads & fully understands the BLM rules and regulations & not just her personal misguided interpretation and chooses NOT to return next winter
To this camp host I say "hope you had a Merry Christmas" as you surely dampened ours!
