Stayed in Spot 38 from 07/17/2024 - 07/22/2024. Great spot, amazing lake view, close to the water/pit toilets, and flat enough for 21ft van. Deer leisurely strolled through the campground multiple days. Would definitely recommend this camp site, especially for $17/night!

Wonderful Campground! We had great cell signal with AT&T, the sites were varied and well spaced - and plenty of options for larger rigs (35’ fifth wheel had no issues navigating). They close for the season on 30Oct; water is off already (11Oct). No dump station.

This CG is very heavily treed and offers a lot of privacy between sites. When we visited the water had been turned off for the season and there are no dump stations available or nearby. We have a 30 foot TT and I wouldn’t advise going much longer than that. Some of the sites are big enough but the roads through are pretty narrow and many are not very level. We stayed in site 50 and it was large enough and level. Easy checkin using the Yodel app, the current price is $17 a night and you’re going to need a MN vehicle pass that is $35 annually (free if you’re a disabled veteran).

Was a little tricky getting in with our rig (40’ travel trailer pulled by a long box crew cab F350) but there was room to maneuver and with my co-pilot guiding me on the radio we got situated pretty quick. Very shaded so we might have to breakout the generator. Not all sites are level so take a few laps to get one that fits your fancy. I would suggest bigger rigs stay out of the inner loop
Beautiful area. We can only stay 2 night unfortunately

This is a Campground, not a resort. I grew up tent camping in state and national parks, so I'm perfectly accustomed to vault toilets, walking to the water spigot, and being in nature. This is an absolutely gorgeous and well kept Campground. As we drove around the one way loop with our 37' 5th wheel behind us, we didn't have any issues with potholes or corners. I wouldn't recommend taking a rig up the inner loop that cuts off to the left after you enter the campground. It's very, very steep. On the main loop we ended up choosing site 47 which worked just fine to fit our entire 5th wheel and truck parked in front of it. Later on when we finished driving the loop we realized we would have much preferred site 61 near the end. It's flatter, bigger, and the sunniest spot by far. We are on solar and every site is very, very wooded, so our solar had a harder time keeping up. The day we had planned to paddle board, it was windy and choppy so we went to Arrowhead Lodge and rented a pontoon boat. Had a great day and explored the Ellsworth Rock Garden. 2 days of hard rain followed, so we went to the visitor center and hiked around, and went to Pine Ridge Gift Shop, it's SO cute and Greg got a famous Michigan monster cookie (he recommends it!) Our final day was super sunny and perfect, so we paddle boarded from the small dock near site 47, out around several small islands. Saw a bald eagle. I'd come back for sure, and pick site 61. *Bring mosquito head nets, repellant, and coils!*

Not for the novice backer. There had been floods in the area so parts of campground were closed this made docking the land yacht more of an adventure. Once in it was like we had the whole campground to ourselves. Fishing off the bank was good for at the boat dock across the road.

We really liked this campground. Unlike some campgrounds, the sites aren't right on top of each other, so you have plenty of privacy. Only a few of the sites have lake views, and at that they are really only peekaboo views, but there are trails to the lake, and there is a great picnic area and formal boat launch adjacent to the campground. There are also two small docks in the campground for tying up small watercraft.
The amenities are few, with a fire ring and table at each site, plus a nearby pit toilet and water spigot. But, if you want to be in the heart of Voyageur country, this is a great camping spot. And our cellphones had signal, which is so rare when camping.
