"Small and friendly family-owned campground"

Lava Campground is a private, family-run campground with 13 RV sites, 4 retro campers, and a number of tent sites. A fabulous couple named Cameron and Annie turned part of their alfalfa field into this quaint campground about two years ago. This... Read more

"Too busy and loud for our taste"

We stayed here a little last minute due to a wild fire thwarting our plans for a trip to Crater Lake. We called around and checked online for more than two hours for anywhere along the coast from Coos Bay to Florence, and I happened upon one site... Read more

"Clean, quiet and level!"

What a delightful find this place was! Zane Grey is a fairly small, incredibly clean, ridiculously cute RV park sitting amongst beautiful trees next to the West Clear Creek. Our site (#50) was incredibly level (yay!), large, and easily accessible.

"Great property, great location!"

We are a full timing couple in our late 30s without kids, so KOAs are never our first choice of places to stay. My husband had to travel to Minneapolis for work for a few days and the Billings airport, with its direct flight to MSP, was along our... Read more

"Great place right outside Custer SP"

We decided to come to Southern Hills on short notice because we cut our time short in the Badlands. While it would have been amazing to stay within the borders of Custer State Park, that wasn't possible due to the short notice. Our rate of $18.50... Read more

"Right outside Devils Tower"

First of all, it's a KOA. They're expensive. I hate when people deduct stars due to price when you know what the place costs going into it. This is the only place to stay when visiting Devils Tower unless you stay within the monument borders at a... Read more

"Nice, Short Stay"

There's not much happening in Garryowen, Montana, but if you find yourself in the area and need a place to stay -- this is the place. It's a little weird getting to it from I-90 as it's on a frontage road that's only reachable by another frontage... Read more

"Clean Park; Needs a Security Gate"

We were supposed to stay for only two nights, but ended up staying three due to horrible wind in the area. We stayed April 12-15. The Good: The park itself is very nice and you can tell it's new. We had site 30, which is a very long pull... Read more

"Snug spot in a beautiful state park!"

Snow Canyon State Park was such a great surprise! It's this weird combination of sandstone rock, extinct volcanoes, sand dunes and lava fields, a mere 20 minutes from Saint George, UT, which is a gem all itself. The campground is small, with only... Read more
