Though I’m told it can be busy and noisy on weekends and holidays my stay during the week is quiet and peaceful.
There are trash bins, pit toilets, and potable water available in the Trillium Campground Day Use area a mile down the road....
Plenty of room for cars, rvs, vans, trucks. Lots of trees and shade. Verizon varies between two and four bars. By Oregon law you can stay 12 hours in 24 hour period.
This is a good place to stop for a rest. Wisconsin rest area rules allow up to 24 hours.
Permission to spend the night was obtained from the greeter right inside the door as I entered. I was directed to park around the back. There are six pull through places suitable for larger rigs. Vans and small rigs can park in regular car spaces...
Small campground with no designated sites, only a handful of places that one could call “sites.” Road in is rough and potholed, sandwiched between stretches that are in decent shape. Very large rigs should avoid this campground.
Nice camp in a nice town. Easy (short distance) to get to from I-80. Camped here in a 20’ class B. May be difficult for class A and other long rigs. Perfect for a one night stay.
This campground's location on the central California coast and proximity to the nice town of Cambria are it's best features.
