Susanville RV Park

Stayed here end of Sept of 2022. Site type: Pull-through, FHU, 50 AMP

SUMMARY:
First want to say that the staff is very nice and the grounds are well-maintained.
Would stay again but only for a night or two.
Long-term/perm residents made us feel VERY unwelcome.

THE GOOD
Staff/Owner: Super nice and attentive person. She is the main reason we didn't leave after the first night.
Location: 3 minutes to gas, groceries, restaurants, and fast food.
Location: 1 hours from Lassen NP.
Sites: Large paved sites. Grass living area.
The grounds: Very clean. The roads around the RV park are nice and nicely designed so that you can enjoy walks and such in peace. Well-lit at night.
Wifi: Was as good as any RV park we have been to (over 100 parks).
Dog park: Nice grassy hill to walk your pups.

THE BAD
I don't suggest staying in site #5 because:
Site 5: is very close to the long-term / perm residents of the park act like they own the place.
Loud music: The resident in site #3 plays VERY loud music between 3 am and 6 am most days, and often after 8 am as well. I am not sure why. But, not worth causing an argument for our short stay, so didn't bring it up.
Driving through sites: The person in site 43 would drive through the site next to us multiple times a day just so that they could drive directly into their own site, rather than just rounding the corner of the road (5 extra feet). They would cut the corner very close to our rig each time. Almost like they were frustrated that we were there.

COULD BE BETTER:
Careful turning into the campground as there is a large bump where you may bottom out if not paying attention.

We stopped here on our way South. We’ve stayed here before and knew we could count on a very clean and maintained property. And they do not disappoint!

Very clean shower and restrooms. Frankly everything is clean and well groomed. Very friendly staff. WIFI and cable. All the infrastructure is up to date. Pull through and level concrete sites.

Follow the signs from the highway closely. Susanville has everything one would need. The Pizza Factory delivers! We’ll go out and look for the quail and deer on our walk.

We stayed here but only as it was along our route to destination. Would only stay here if I were this way again. Susanville is not what I would call a destination spot. Full utilities here. Bathroom and shower were clean. Grass and plenty of poop stations for the pup and three kennels for dogs off-leash. The RV park itself was quiet but there was some road noise from the road a couple blocks away as Susanville isn’t really a quiet town. We were assigned site#13 which was right in front of the entrance which concerned me but turned out not to be an issue.

This is our second stay here. We use it in between boondocking sites to dump and refill our water. The staff is friendly and the park is very clean. Sites are all level cement pads with a patch of grass and a tree between each site. During the summer, there are car races at the fairgrounds next door, on Friday nights. It can be a little loud, but they are over with by 10pm.
