After discovering, once again, that the site I'd originally chosen was already closed for the year (early Nov.), we checked this spot out. Only one group out riding OHV's, but they were gone by dark. Great views of the valley below.

Would have stayed longer if we weren't heading to see friends. Great place to work, play, wander, sleep! Quiet at night, picnic tables, trash and recycle service, and the cleanest vault toilets I have ever seen. OHV trails, yes, but being here in early Nov, nobody was around. Quiet at night, picnic tables, trash and recycle service, and the cleanest vault toilets I have ever seen. OHV trails, yes, but being here in early Nov, nobody was around. AT&T rocks especially if you add a MIMO antenna to the mix - Both upload and download speed are spectacular. Could be hot here in the summer with no shade, but great place and easy to get to. There is a shooting range nearby, so that's the only reason we did 4 stars for noise - Didn't bother us.

After dark it was very quiet. Easy to get to about 1 mile off the main road and then about a half mile dirt road to the camp sites, but we had no problems getting to the spot. I assume it's a great spot for off road vehicles. Again, nobody was her this night. I assume it can get noisy if motorcycles are heer during the day. Most of the camp sites are relatively level. A decent Verizon signal.

Stopped here travelling from Nevada to Oregon and it was just what I needed. Didn't measure but couldn't have been more than 1/4 mile from the paved road, and barely washboard.
