Good access from Hwy 20 through Winthrop. Site 88 was extremely un-level, rear tires were at least a 16 inches higher than the front. Got leveled with three 2x8 blocks under each of the front jacks, but my front tires hung 8 inches off the ground, worst site I have seen in 15 moths of full timing. Easy check-in at kiosk. Sites are mostly dirt, some are gravel. Sewer hole was 25 feet from the rear of my rig and uphill, so unless you carry a long hose and a sewer pump, it is useless. There is a dump station on the way out. Drove around both west and east campgrounds, many sites are un-level front to back. Many Class As with their front wheels off the ground. Bring about 10 inches of blocks for each tire. All the land slopes towards the lake, so on the back-side sites the rig's rear is lower, even worse. East side campground has paved sites and seems more level.
Beautiful views of the lake and snow capped mountains. Campground and bathrooms are average. This campground is not worth the $50+ they charge. Deer walked through the campground in the morning. Many marmots in the campground. Ducks swim the lake and walk the grassy shore. The town of Winthrop is a nice touristy area with a few restaurants.
Poor AT&T service, no service on cell phones (4G 0-1 bar), got computer internet with a Weboost and a Pepwave, but just barely. No streaming capability even with the Weboost.

Stayed in the West Loop, large spaces, but not much green grass or paved parking pads like the East Loop. However stayed with a larger group and all had hookups with easy access to the water. Clean lake, lots of small trout for kids and adults..

Generally WA state park campgrounds are pretty consistent in quality and services. They're never the most luxurious campgrounds but always seems to be clean and consistently maintained. Pearrygin meets this description. Campground resources were stretched to the limit on this busy weekend. Trash bins were full and bathrooms were "well used". The camp staff worked all weekend and did the best they could to keep up. Overall I was not overly impressed with Pearrygin but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't a fulled booked weekend.
We were in the West campground. It looked like the East campground was slightly nicer. The grass was better kept and there were more shade trees.

We stayed in the West Campground which is a lot more run down looking than the East.
The power tripped our Air Conditioning, so if you're planning on leaving your dog in your rig, be sure to leave windows and fans on as well.
